  1. Wuertz's career numbers in April and May are much worse than the rest of the season.
  2. Did you just call him a Tranny? I love your liberal use of it Raisin. Well done.
  3. You're missing the point reds. The value of Kearns, Lopez, and Wagner at the time was much more than what they got in return. That trade (likely didn't, but if you squint a little) could've cost them the division that year by running out the corpse of Royce Clayton as a starting SS and Ryan Freel as a corner OF the rest of the way.
  4. Time to pounce and pick up Rollins so that Peralta isn't my starter all year.
  5. Those quotes by Sean are awesome. Congrats to Sean's dad.
  6. who is going to take a 35-year-old Soriano with 3 years at $16m left on his contract? A lot of teams if his numbers are similar to where they are now. Well not NOW, but the general now of his career.
  7. I'd rather trade Soriano 3 years from now. I don't think he'll fall of a cliff that quickly.
  8. Crap. Jocketty's good. Thank God for Dusty.
  9. Also, give us all the winning scratch off tickets.
  10. Might have to wait seeing how hot Riot has been. No need to bench Theriot since there's a spot for both in the infield while Soriano is on the DL. Agreed, as shocked as I am to see me type it, I'd like to see Cedeno, Theriot, and DeRosa playing together for a few games.
  11. Not if Pie and Hill are where I expect them to be in July.
  12. It will continue until MLB umpires are held accountable for their calls on the field. Not the worst call ever, though. That would probably be the call at 1st base in the 1985 World Series with Dane Iorg. I thought it was Jorge Orta.
  13. Wait, I can't do a McDonald's cup of booze?
  14. Yea it'd be nice if we had a lead off hitter right... Somebody's gotta fix that victrola.
  15. baseballreference keeps getting better. WPA added to the play by play.
  16. I actually think Hendry does a pretty decent job of that... Harben for Nevin Ceda for Walker Berg for Lawton Ascanio for Ohman and Infante Am I missing any? Kevin Hart for Freddie Bynum.
  17. He got doubled off because at the end of the day he's still a Red and he found a way to screw it up.
  18. I HATE the constant artificial noise during NBA games. If it was just stuff like forcing the crowd to cheer with a D-Fense chant, I could tolerate it. But it's really annoying watching a team run its offense while Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani is blasting over the speakers. Less is more NBA. Less is more.
  19. They had to ship out Gross to ensure that they could keep 14 pitchers on their roster.
  20. Sorry, can't do it. Can't put it on Gagne this time. If Weeks makes a play that T-Ball kids make then it's game over and it doesn't go 12 innings. Gagne let Cesar Izturis and Skip Schumaker on base. He wasn't without blame.
  21. Izturis was hit by a pitch in the 9th, I'm guessing he was too hurt to come back out as Miles shifted to SS.
  22. In case nobody saw it, Wainwright pinch hit with the bases loaded in this inning. That's...peculiar.
  23. I tried sarcastically texting my boss asking what the score was when it was 8-3 after she had texted me earlier that the Cards lead 2-0. Pays to have a crappy phone whose texts don't always work boys and girls.
