Would Gavin Floyd be the worst pitcher to ever throw a no hitter? And yes, I know about Jose Jimenez. Holy crap, Mercker threw 1 CG No hitter, and the first 6 innings of another. I totally forgot the 3 inning one. And I guess the right answer is Bud Smith.

Quite honestly, I think he's ticketed to a life of trading for Goldman Sachs. He's got the arrogant attitude that investment banks love to have on their payrolls. He's got the arrogant attitude that could make him a rogue trader that loses billions of dollars too.

It's not a bad idea. I'd have somebody warming up at the start of the inning but it's not a bad thing for Z to go past 99. Brenly says Pie should bunt once per ballgame. :banghead:

You really have a one-track mind on this stuff. Different situations require different tools and provide for different results. He might have been wrong or lying about Cedeno, but this is a different situation. It's a situation in which Piniella is asked to identify which baseball players should get playing time in order to advance the team's goal of winning. He's not showing a real good track record in these situations. Ok, so you don't think he is good at his job. Doesn't make him a liar. IIRC, the lying part comes from him saying he was going to get Cedeno starts since he was hitting so well, and then Cedeno proceeded to sit the next 7 games. -
I've been pretty impressed with Theriot thus far. I don't think he'll keep this up, but he's hitting pretty hard.
