    I hope you're happy Sulley. How does this dumbass stuff keep happening? New GMs, new managers, new scouts, it never matters, it's always the same stupid crap.

    Agreed. Sign him to a minor league contract, and give him 2 weeks to show he still has game left in that body. If he doesn't, simply released him. His poor start with San Diego, maybe coincides with him declining, or the fact that San Diego sucks. Give me a 1-2 weeks minor league assignment, and see if he has anything left. If he doesn't, no harm, no foul. Good idea in theory, but with the present day Chad Fox nightmare going on, I don't really trust this organization to cut bait.

    Well yeah, they like him for the way he masterfully got baseball out of Montreal. Contraction was shot down, so MLB went back to their old standby of bleeding the common man for a ballpark that isn't necessary. Jeffrey Loria is scum of the earth.

    In the last 15 years, Loria has more World Series titles than any other owner besides Steinbrenner. Loria has one world series title. By accident. He was sent to Florida to torpedo that team the way he was set up to torpedo Montreal for contraction's sake. Larry Beinfest screwed everything up.

    I like that it was some random ass theory he threw out there, not that he even knew if Cueto had family in the city. Well some Latin guys live in New York, therefore Cueto probably has relatives there, and felt pressure. I mean wow.

    This is what Simers does. He baits an athlete until they can't handle his schtick anymore. Then he writes an awful column about it. The LA Times has the worst sports section in the country.

    Um, context? Sean hasn't started a game in like 2 weeks. He was money through 4, that's all you should really expect in that situation.

    The thing on Fox that is just so ludicrous is that it was deemed appropriate to pitch him in a tie game with the bases loaded. But with a 5 run lead and nobody on, he couldn't come in?? Marmol's probably unavailable tomorrow(at least he should be) because of that dopey move on Saturday. There's simply no defense for that.

    I feel like the Mets messed this up. They should've let Patterson hit, then if he gets a hit, you say he hit out of order.

    The explanations as to why Marmol was pitched in this game are sounding very much like the excuses given about Dusty when he'd leave Prior/Wood/anyone in for 130 pitches with a huge lead. I wonder if Marmol's going to be called soft when he goes down with an injury

    Re: MN Cubs Fan: Bring in Marmol to shut the door?? Shut one door. It was give up less than 5 runs in 3 outs. That door is already deadbolted and nailed shut. If Marmol hadn't pitched yesterday, I'd be okay with this. This was just stupid.

    My north side plans fell through which means I'll be Metra-ing to the El-ing it. Metra gets into the loop at 1148. I'm guessing I'll be at the park around 12:15.

    I still contend that the Brewers are a far greater threat than the Cards. But I'm rooting for Brewers to take 2 out of 3, cause I'm a little afraid Yost gets fired if the Brewers get swept this weekend. I'd like to get him a nice month or 2 of job security by beating the first place team.
