I'd be all for anything that meant the Cubs wouldn't be beholden to crappy local politics. In short, I'm all for something that'll never happen. And no, I wouldn't miss the awful bars and shops at all. I'm not exactly a Wrigley bar person, I'll go have a drink or 2 before a game if I have time, and then move somewhere less crowded afterwards, but you can't deny that the surrounding area is part of the appeal of Wrigley Field to people. Wrigley is unique because of its location and surrounding area. You want it to be a cookie cutter Miller Park clone.
