    The Dusty/Lou era seemed like it was full of ridiculous suspensions of Cubs players and managers, so it would follow that now that we're competitive they'd go back to it. I don't remember this being a thing at all. Did that happen? Assault and battery with a belly.

    The Cardinals are at 0.8 I believe it's run differential based, and there's an SOS component. ETA: What's peculiar is the NL comes in at -7.3 despite being 1 game better record-wise than the AL

    I never said he was the best player in franchise history, I'd vote him in a legit top 4, and I want to see him can get some sort of recognition since our [expletive] ownership has their feelings hurt because they're stupid [expletive] assholes. Voting just Sosa isn't going to cost Ernie Banks his spot in this made up honor.

    You only have 8 options. I think you can vote just for 1 person though. I imagine 3 Finger Brown and Gabby Hartnett are safe plays.

    Knowing how MLB loves to have old guys come back for national events like this, I imagine the winners will be in some pre-game ceremony, so I reallllllllllllllllllly want Sosa to be there honored with Cubs legends while old painty can Tom sits at home scowling. From that, MLB released early results back in May with Banks-Sandberg-Santo-Williams composing the top 4. Vote Sosa, exclude Williams. Having sad-faced Sandberg with 80 first half losses standing next to him would be pretty nice too.

    I think you're talking about Hendricks who went to Dartmouth. Arrieta is the workout freak. He won't remember any of that. I can't even picture what their faces look like. Arrieta is the Japanese guy right? And Hendricks is like a really short Samoan.

    Me too; Chicago mostly [expletive] sucks at it. Lots of good Thai options, though. Chi Tung is like the only place of any notoriety in the area I grew up. And I'm not talking just Chinese restaurants. It's really [expletive] good though.
