Well, the Angels looked like a lock for the playoffs at the time, so they were 1 up on us, and I'd still give them the advantage this year. A 2 year lead on playoffs is a pretty big deal. As is the knowledge that a team will spend rather than an assumption which looked a lot more faulty to me last year. They sold Kendrick a year before FA after 2 disappointing years in '12 and '13.
