  1. So happy! Not that Jaylen Brown is going to choose Michigan, but if he does, how are we going to free a scholarship? Are you including Bielfeldt? Bieldfeldt was granted his release, and he's expected to go to Bradley would have been funny for him to have 2 senior days though Yeah, I didn't know if he was in UMF's count. I knew he was transferring because there are several Illinois lunatics who have bemoaned losing him every day for the last 4 years.
  2. I'm sure it's been talked about in here already, but goodness, Joe West's strike zone tonight.
  3. We'll still win, but there was no need for any of this.
  4. But there could be a game in a week where we need Strop.
  5. Did we ever get an ETA on either? I've written off Ramirez as dead.
  6. Those dang seeing eye singles BABIPing Schlitter to death.
  7. You could always get drunk if he does give up runs too
  8. Shouldn't we maybe have a strikeout pitcher in there?

  10. I'd agree with this. The wording of "inheriting" a good farm system, when he was primarily responsible for it was my quibble.
  11. I'd just say this last bit is unfair given that he played a large role in building said farm system, and that hamstringing the team for years with bad contracts is an oversell with only Soriano, Z, and Marmol as bad contracts, with only one Soriano being a long-term commitment.
  12. My problem is with people who think spending money is running the team just like Jim Hendry.
  13. I thought he was on the less dumb side of things when it came to local media, he's just more on the troll side.
  14. it's very much worth considering if we somehow overperformed and weren't sellers either of the three years 2012: no Kyle Hendricks* 2013: no Neil Ramirez, Justin Grimm, CJ Edwards, Arrieta, Strop 2014: no Addison Russell, Billy McKinney *this one would probably bother just me though yeah, retroactively wiping out either of those last two deadline hauls is way too deleterious for me to accept What a horrible thing that would've been to be in contention. Thank God we didn't make a run at the playoffs.
  15. If you were a fan of losing on purpose you're not allowed to enjoy any wins from now on.

  17. I don't think it takes 99th percentile decisions over a 3 year period to turn "not great" into 88 wins.

  19. uh, on its way check's in the mail, eh? Eric Patterson needs that money more than tree now anyway.
  20. How long did you search for video of it before you accepted it didn't happen?
  21. Besides 60-daying Olt and DFAing Villanueva, Beeler is a candidate for the 60-day. Who goes down is another question. Do they send down a pitcher (Schlitter hopefully) or do they send down Alcantara - the only issue with sending down AA is that he is currently their 5th outfielder, but I bet Herrera could fill in in a pinch. Muskat already said Alcantara is going down. Brett Jackson isn't even in our organization anymore.
  22. If good friend treybeard thinks I should, then I will sign up.
