  1. Why is "What Child is This?" being played over this package?
  2. WHY THE [expletive] WOULD HE GO FOR 2 YOU DUMB PIECE OF [expletive]??
  3. I'm not a lawyer, but how can you punish the agent for doing something that's not illegal in a court of law?
  4. I don't think they're necessarily top 25 good, but their good enough for the tourney. Just depends on how things break for those mid-range teams to decide if they're NIT or NCAA. 9 different teams are entering conference play with a nonzero chance at the NCAA tourney. I can't remember this being the case for quite some time.
  5. Without looking at the schedules: MSU Purdue OSU UI Wisky Minn UM NU PSU Iowa IU
  6. hawai'i has a God-awful secondary. i think that most high school teams could throw for at least 200 on them. Passing totals vs Hawai'i this year. Opponents' season average in () * denotes bowl team Florida*: 151 Yards(213) Oregon St*: 268(254) SJSU: 152(196) Fresno*: 204(207) La Tech*: 167(157) Boise*: 256(294) Nevada*: 173(219) Utah St.: 223(197) New Mexico St. 394(301) Idaho: 170(188) Wazzu: 76(146) Cincy*: 183(254) And no, I'm not saying WHOOO NOTRE DAME IS AWESOME, I'm saying the visceral hatred for Notre Dame leads to absurd statements based on pretty much nothing other than Notre Dame hatred.(i.e. it's ridiculous that Notre Dame gets to be in a bowl with a 500 record just because they're Notre Dame. Or Hawaii's secondary is awful. More than half the damn teams they played didn't put up 200 on them!! And 4 of them were bowl teams! ONLY ONE PUT UP MORE IN AN ENTIRE GAME THAN NOTRE DAME DID IN THE FIRST HALF But no, you watched the Georgia game last year, so you'd know. That and Notre Dame sucks.
  7. OMG GO AWAY MILT PAPPAS
  8. I think PSU will be right there with Minnesota, Iowa and WIsconsin in conference. Read into that what you will. I think Penn St. is gonna be with Northwestern fighting for 8. I think you can take 3-7 throw them in a bag and pick them at random just as well as predicting where those 5(OSU, UI, Wis, Minn, UM my order btw) will finish. It's too bad for PSU and NU cause if they played at this level last year they'd have probably put together a 20 win season. They can each make strong NIT cases though if they can be respectable in conference play. There is not going to be an easy road game for anyone outside of Bloomington. Should be loads of fun.
  9. Missouri only lets black students take classes if the court makes them. That of course is if they can't murder them first. So who is allowed to attend Missouri if not black people? Kenneth Lay, famed corporate criminal Mike Hall, horrendous anchor on the Big Ten Network Mike Shannon, Cardinals sympathizer Dave Otto, DAVE OTTO Gary Barnett, oversaw the destruction of the Colorado football program and probably some rape mixed in Mizzou, former NSBB poster and monster.com critic University of Missouri-Columbia: Just don't be black
  10. Ah, I was saying it as a means to get all of next year's class in. They have 14 committed for next year. Somebody has to go. I think Jobe is pretty clearly the worst player on scholarship. I thought it was a mistake to take him when they did(pretty much solely for the chance at Negedu, which the competition was too stiff on), and he's certainly not going to improve enough in his last year to be worth anything.
  11. I think Northeastern is the best of those 3 teams. I'm kicking myself cause I've been betting against Indiana in every game on centsports, and didn't do it this time, cause I got burned on TCU and thought they'd win this one. I assume you misspoke on the former/latter part or do you see something in Tijan Jobe that I don't. And thanks for taking it in stride.
  12. Huh. The Cotton Bowl still exists.
  13. Missouri is ranked for the first time since January of 2004. They finished that year 16-14 with a loss to Michigan in the Michigan invitational(NIT) They lost to Illinois that year too.
  14. The last time Missouri was in the NCAA tournament was 2003. Leo Lyons was starting his 5th year of eligibility at the time. They lost to Dwayne Wade. At the postgame presser Tom Crean mentioned he was not interested in the Missouri job. Nobody else was either.
  15. Can we keep chanting BCS at this game until Missouri plays a football game after December?
  16. It wasn't even an upset either. It was one of the two games against small conference teams that IU fans thought they had a good chance of losing (they managed to survive Cornell). IU is probably going to win their last non-conference game, but I have a tough time seeing them winning a single conference game with the huge gap between them and everyone else in the conference. Odds are on their side that they'll win at least one game over the 18-game schedule, but they certainly won't be favored to win any. I still think they beat Iowa at home. The fans are gonna rush the court and mob Tijan Jobe. Then they'll take away his scholarship.
  17. Pomeroy Top 25(Sample Size grain of salt) 1 Georgetown 2 Gonzaga 3 Pittsburgh 4 North Carolina 5 Duke 6 Connecticut 7 Purdue 8 Missouri 9 Oklahoma 10 Clemson 11 Ohio St. 12 West Virginia 13 Kansas 14 Brigham Young 15 Louisville 16 Illinois 17 Washington St. 18 Arizona St. 19 Northwestern 20 UCLA 21 Xavier 22 Maryland 23 Kansas St. 24 Washington 25 Wake Forest
  18. The Coaches poll is consistently terrible. Ignore it.
  19. TT, the last thing you need to worry about is our rebounding. We were outrebounded 43-14 against Hawaii. Hawaii. Regarding TOs, top of my head we've been good at holding on to the ball this year(including against a similar defense in Clemson) and even better at taking it away. We seemed to do best against Clemson when we got out and ran to beat the press, and I hope we stick to that against Mizzou. I'm all for rapid fire substitutions at the guard position to keep everyone fresh against the press. I'd want Frazier or DMac in there at all times as the primary ballhandler, but rotating Legion, Meacham, and Jordan at the other guard positions(along with Frazier or DMac when they're in together) is fine by me. I don't think there's a lot of room for Calvin Brock in this one.
  20. It's probably more important to our NCAA chances than theirs. The Big 12 isn't very deep, especially in the north, and Mizzou should be able to rack up quite a few easy wins. Mizzou's path to 11 conference wins is a lot easier than ours(and I think the loser of this game needs that to feel comfortable on selection Sunday.)
  21. I assume the reverse is true and your picks aren't the best then.
  22. Tick Tock Mizzou. Tick Tock.
  23. Garrett Anderson was everyone's favorite "most underrated player in baseball" which of course wound up making him overrated.
  24. No doubt this board is full of smartasses and wanna be GM know-it-alls. It does get old. If only there was some place you could be a self-important dictator who quelled any inflammatory speech. Nevermind.
  25. Oh and this play by play guy is HORRENDOUS Beyond the fact that he keeps misidentifying people, he's clearly never watched an Illinois game this year or last. He's dumbfounded that Mike Tisdale can hit jump shots.
