  1. On the other hand, this fumbles are completely random nonsense has to stop.
  2. The only consolation in this coming year's playoff exit will be when Jim Hendry with a straight face goes into next offseason saying how we need to get more right-handed. It's gonna be so awesome.
  3. Once you realize you're supporting Voice of Reason's argument you should stop right there. The guy's a raging imbecile.
  4. No, I get it. He's now suggesting that the 7 point swing should be distributed over two games, which was not the original point. He's adjusted his point in order to create the outcome that he wants to create. The original argument was that home-field advantage would only account for a 7 point swing. Never- NEVER- was neutral site part of the discussion. BUT YOU'RE THEN MAKING THE GAMES ROAD AND HOME AGAIN(ONLY REVERSED) YET MAKING THEM AS A DIRECT COMPARISON AGAIN
  5. You're not even coming close to understanding what he's talking about.
  6. You're making it a 2 TD swing.
  7. So the only time a Big Ten school doesn't play for a championship is when the conference is down? Pretty much. Read into it however you want, but Big 10 schools don't get shut out of the title game when they're in they're equal to other teams fighting for the spot.
  8. Holy [expletive] Musberger shut the [expletive] up about a +1 for USC. Texas fans have probably put a hit out on him cause of this. Tip of the hat to Keyshawn for his response. He's way more tolerable on tv than I expected.
  9. It certainly seems to me that's what SSR is implying when he says: I don't think it's impressive or remarkable what USC has done given the clear talent disparity between them and the rest of the NCAA. It's impressive that they get these kids to come there and ride the bench for 4 years when they could start for 75% of BCS programs.
  10. I don't think anybody expects bowls to be played in those cities. I think it's ridiculous that there are bowls in Detroit and Toronto. It's something to take note of though, and I think you're underselling the effect it has. That said, I think it would kind of suck to be a USC player and never getting to travel for your bowl game. I think that would be really cool getting to travel cross-country and stay elsewhere as a celebrity for a week. Instead they play at home every year. And that's pretty much the only way it would suck to be a USC football player. That and you'd probably be a douchebag.
  11. You know how you would have not been robbed. Beating an Oregon St. team that managed to score 3 points against Pitt. Another year, another no championship for you. Soooooooooo sad. Oregon State is a good, consistent program though. And they beat Pitt without the Rodgers brothers (Quizz Rodgers was Pac 10 player of the year). I don't see what's such an embarrassment about losing to them. Well, Penn State beat Oregon State 45-14. And USC beat Ohio State 35-3. Citing the results of those two games means nothing because they cancel each other out. He's saying that Oregon State isn't that good.
  12. If you're gonna cheat, you should get some results beyond a home game against either the 2nd place Big Ten team or the 1st place Big Ten team in a down year every single year.(That was a horribly structured sentence) Iowa in 2002, Michigan in 2003 and 2006, Illinois in 2007, Ohio State in 2008, Penn State in 2008... The poor Big 10 just is SOOO UNLUCKY that USC keeps catching them when they're down  You're grasping at straws. That's what we call missing the point. USC plays a home game every years on January 1st because they're too undisciplined to try against teams they should beat the crap out of. Their opponents in these games are 2nd place Big Ten teams if the Big Ten is good(becuase the 1st place team goes to the title game) or a 1st place Big Ten team when the conference is down. The Trojans would rather be playing in the championship game or at least against Texas or Alabama than yet again beating up on a Big Team (I'm sure ABC would too). OSU is a hard place to play and all good teams have at least one let down game during a 12 game season. So USC isn't a great team.
  13. Haha, I'm convinced half these people are 14 years old.

  15. Penn St. fans are probably the least obnoxious of the Big 10 fans I've encountered. (Never met a Minnesota fan.)

I don't see what's such an embarrassment about losing to them. Well, Penn State beat Oregon State 45-14. You don't understand how complex Oregon State's offense was back then. We're not talking slant routes here.

  18. You know how you would have not been robbed. Beating an Oregon St. team that managed to score 3 points against Pitt. Another year, another no championship for you. Soooooooooo sad. How did your Illini do this year? Poorly. How the football team of a school that you may or may not have gone to did this season(no national title is how they did btw) has nothing to do with what kind of a buffoon you are.

The point is more that voice of reason is an embarrassment.

  21. Technically I didn't misspell anything. I jut used through rather than throw. That's actually technically the right usage according to my editor.
  22. kramer's still better. And he is, but that's besides the point I'd just like to point out that Chester has been playing hurt for four years. I don't think he has ever been 100% healthy for any game. He is a warrior and I am glad the fan base is finally embracing him. I really like Kramer's game also, what is the latest on his injury, Purdue is not the same without him. I also read that Hummel is banged up, anyone have news on that? And so has Kramer. Tell me of Kramer's high school injuries. Years are counted differently at Purdue apparently.
  23. Watched the game at a bar. Help with all the DMac benching? Was it just Legion's defense being better?
  24. And you lost your most recent game to an Illinois team that was worse than this one.
