    My Dad was telling me over the phone the other day that ticket prices have gone way up. Last year I bought the September Cardinals game from him and it was 30 something dollars. He told me those tickets were $56 now. Must be one of the new Platinum-level games ... nothing like shelling out >$100 to take your sweetheart out to the ol' ballpark. That's pretty much the cost of a 360/PS3 game for roughly 3 hours of live entertainment. Yeah, or you could not demand to get the best seats for the best games.

    have you checked the BTN alternates? They only use those for football games. I can't remember why, but it's some dumbass reason. And I spoke too soon, this isn't really any better.

    Well the BTN stream is a little better than it was early in the year, but still it sucks. Don't worry though, the actual channel is showing Michigan vs. Notre Dame. Women.

    Obviously Peavy is far more valuable than Wood. But 2/12M? Are you kidding me? 2/12 for Kerry Wood and Jose Ceda or 1/5 for Kevin Gregg. That's why you don't brashly shut the door in a guy's face before you have a chance to see what the market actually is.

    Was just going to post along those lines. Iowa has done much better than I expected. I still have them pegged for 10th, but this is very good for the Big Ten.

    in recent years yes but I don't think it is this year especially when you can get a better closer in Wood for less yes, if by "better" you mean "not better" If Wood stays healthy(obviously a big if), they're pretty similar in value. I can't believe he'll get that little.

    It's unlikely because it was a leg injury, but if he regains the range he had with Houston, that'll be the best contract signed this offseason.
