    No ref anywhere is going to enforce the grab your own air ball rule, but I don't think I understand why a player can't rebound his own ball of the backboard.

    I'm pretty sure at any level you can rebound your own miss off of the backboard. When googling it a bit, it looks like it's up to the ref's discretion, but a player can actually rebound his own air ball as long as the ref determines it was a shot attempt, and not a pass.

    Once the ball touches the rim or backboard it's considered a shot attempt. In what you described, Kobe grabbed his own rebound.

    What if Bengie Molina hits a ball hits a ball to the gap and is thrown out going for 2nd. It doesn't seem fair that he only gets 1 base just because he's atrociously slow.

    So now your complaint is that Reed Johnson, who has looked Miles-esque all season didn't start over Derrek Lee? Why is it better to space out your time off and not have an optimal lineup for 4 or 5 games, compared to giving a bunch of days off at the same time and having one sub-optimal lineup? Soto: Day game after night game, standard for a catcher not to catch both. Theriot: Hasn't had a day off all season Soriano: Hasn't had a day off all season. Ramirez: Just came back from a nagging injury. Bradley: Always "just came back from a nagging injury" I really don't understand the complaining, and the "poor fans, not seeing 100% effort" argument is absurd.

    What happens when he breaks into Krzyzewski's office? Part of his agreement is that it becomes his handler's office. I think Wall is going to be the extremely talented headache everyone said Beasley and Mayo would be. Well, hopefully one day the NCAA decides Mayo should be a headache to USC. Well, I didn't mean that kind of headache, there's no way UNC, Duke, or KU ever gets the hammer unless they hire Dave Bliss. I mean disruption on and off the court while he's there.

    You have to touch all the bases to get the HR. Ventura had a HR turned into a 2B because his teammates mobbed him at 2nd after the winning run already crossed the plate. My guess is the guy would have to crawl around, or have the opposing team carry you, like that softball player last year. In the event of an injury on a home run, a pinch runner can take the place of the hitter and finish rounding the bases. This leads to a player being able to hit a home run, but not score a run, as the pr gets credit for that. They just talked about this during the game last night.
