    Hopefully it lights a fire under Hendry to try and get approval of it from the Trib/Ricketts and to re-start things with Towers. Like it was already mentioned it gives guys like Ascanio, Wells and Patton a little more time up to prove something and maybe makes 1 of them a little more attractive in a trade. The only thing that would "light a fire" under Hendry would be a 20-foot tall pile of donuts. Seriously? Take it easy pot.

    But you know what else is a joke? Suspensions given to Cubs' players. You just know they'll make an example of Z and give him 7 or 8 games or something to force a missed turn in the rotation. You just KNOW it. I think Z's getting off easy if he gets single digits. He chucked a ball to the warning track and kicked the umpire out of the game.

    I rooted for the Yankees in 2003 solely because of Jeff Loria. Build a new stadium? Yeah, boo hoo Montreal, pay [expletive] 800 million out of your own pocket to build a stadium for a baseball team that you can't watch on TV because your owner was sent by Seligula to kill off the franchise. Oh, I can't fathom why Expos fans weren't rabidly packing the stadium the last few years. I just can't understand why Montreal wouldn't finance a new stadium while MLB is attempting to contract them. What happened to the Expos was criminal, and the fact that piece of [expletive] in Miami profited off it is outrageous(Not as outrageous as when he moves the Marlins to a new city that builds him a stadium and then he sells them off for an even bigger profit.) I'd cheer this man's death.

    The only reason something "had to be done" in Montreal is because Selig and Loria willfully killed Montreal baseball.

    Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, Richard Speck, Charles Manson, and a whole host of crazy, psycho killers and the like agree with you. Their wives were dead already, and in their wills they stated that they wanted their husbands to murder other people since they couldn't satisfy their bloodlust anymore.

    I have no doubt he will overpay. But look on the bright side. When hendry is fired we can hire Depo and he'll rebuild the farm like he did for the dodgers. You misspelled Logan White.

    I added in today's PAs to Cotts's numbers and it's something like a 640 OPS against vs. righties and 1320 vs. lefties. It's hilarious.

    I love these pictures, but to be fair, when Jordan was at LeBron's career juncture, he was still flipping out after big shots. (The Shot in 89 comes to mind.) It wasn't until he reached the "I'm Michael Effing Jordan and I Know I'm Making This" in the early 1990s that he stopped celebrating and started just being a badass. Jordan's the shot also won the series. It was also his first playoff series win. Lebron has been to the finals before. So MJ went crazy over a 1st round series win? Bush.
