  1. Its not like they have been hitting him very hard at all.
  2. Pena is going to hit a bomb today
  3. I'm training my son to be a gladiator.
  4. How much longer do you think he lasts as the 3 hitter?
  5. Agreed. I wish everybody would go back to the v-neck pullover.
  6. It seems to be happening quite a bit lately. Trent Green this year in football, and I think there was someone else too.
  7. Even if they are severe, I think Pena's glove would be more important than the insurance run in this situation.
  8. It wasn't Len. It was that Luke guy talking to the producer about where he was positioned so that they could get the camera on him for the interview at the beginning of this half inning. The inning before it was Len talking about his 10 year old
  9. Im watching a live feed on the internet and they forgot to shut off the sound during the commercial and I am listening to Len have a private phone call with somebody. Nothing juicy but I hope one of them start talking about some girl in the stands or something.
  10. At least they made the pitcher work with a whole 7 pitches.
  11. I played in a softball game 10 days after my appendix burst.
  12. An all-white outfield? We're doomed. Could you imagine the team chemistry we would have though?
  13. But how valuable is Castillo going to be playing once a week? No matter how good a hitter, it is rare that they use a backup catcher to pinch hit unless its extra innings. Hes better off getting everyday PT in Iowa. Max Ramirez is the guy to keep around. If he keeps playing like this I would have no problem starting him and trading Soto. For the record, I don't think he will and I still love Soto.
  14. This has become one of my favorite threads.
  15. I dont need to read a book about the glory of white power to know that it is racist, so I dont need to read this book to know what it is about. It has nothing to do with group think, it's just my personal opinion.
  16. Step 1: Cancel cable. Step 2: Order MLB package Step 3: Download TV from Hulu or Netflix He lives in Terre Haute, he'll probably be blacked out. I believe it is blacked out
  17. Does anybody know if atdhe has the regular season games on it? They havent had any of the spring training games and since I switched back to cable I can't get CSN, so I am getting a little nervous.
  18. Hopefully someone stops feeding you. I guess I should have expected as such from this board. Someone disagrees, calls you on your stupidity and the name calling ensues. Clearly missing the point as usual but masking it with some supposed "witty" reply that makes no sense. Thank you for adding to the examples in this thread of what is wrong with this community of bullies and jerks Perhaps its not your stance on the subject that receives the response, but the smug and sarcastic comment that you made originally that brought on the response.
  19. Fielder will be 28 when he signs his new deal - and there's plenty of reason to believe he'll be looking in the 8/20-25 range himself. So if you go with Fielder, you'll likely be paying a 36 year old $25 million at the end of his deal instead of paying a 40 year old $30 million. WAR: Pujols: 8.0 career average/8.4 past 3 years Prince: 3.3 career average/4.5 past 3 years That's a quick way to look at it, but Pujols is pretty significantly better and should age much better than Fielder. I'm not against a big contract to Prince - especially if he can keep his weight down - but if given the choice of Prince getting $25 mil at 36 or Pujols getting $30 mil til he's 40, I'll take the much better player. That was a pretty convincing argument. I would be happy with either one.
  20. Dont get me wrong I would jumping for joy if we did get him, but I would rather go with the 26 year old whose production is pretty close, relatively speaking, to Pujols that we could get for a little bit less money. I don't know what he is going to be asking but lets say its 250 over 10 years or maybe he would sign a 5 or 6 year deal, I would rather go with that.
  21. And if he doesn't we just wasted 300 million.
  22. Whut. I should rephrase myself. I would love to have Pujols but I don't want to pay a 40 year old 30 million dollars. The first 5 years of the contract would be nice but I would rather go with Prince.
  23. I thought about putting a Pujols and the number 5 on the back of one of my Cubs t-shirts when I go to Cubs/Cards in St. Louis, not that I want any part of signing Pujols outside of the reaction from Cardinal fans.
  24. How much do you think albert brings in on jersey sales? I would think that market is pretty much tapped out since he has been there so long and everybody who wants a Pujols jersey already has one. You obviously don't have a child who grows into a new jersey size on an annual basis. :) I have 3, but yes I did not consider that. If they are anything like me though, they would want someone new with every jersey.
