    My Grandpa Bud, the reason for my love of the Cubbies. He was a man of few words, but you could always get him gabbing about the Cubs. If there was a game on, he was watching from his recliner, or listening to the radio while working in the garage. I am the only family member that carried on the Cub love, and hope that my boys enjoy them together the way we did. I was 16 in, when he passed away, just a few months before Harry. The only thing I kept of his, was his old mesh back Cubs hat. I pulled it out of its safe place for the World Series.

    If you watch the post-game celebration you will see that there were many, many beers going on between them. I saw that, but all I could think of was a Rick Vaughn/Roger Dorn situation.

    This might have been discussed in the game thread, but is there a beer going on between the two? Two games in a row they seemed to be fighting for the ball (Rizzo's ball) and kind of stared each other down both times. The first time Rizzo kind of chucked it at him after. Is there a slight issue or are my nerves reading too much into this?

    Another infrequent poster, but this site is my first stop every morning before work. This still hasn't sunk in, and I kept my composure last night. Untill my 10 year old son called, who doesn't really care about sports, but was excited for me. That's when the water works started.
