generally i'd say no. but the fact is soriano is obviously more comfortable hitting #1, for whatever reason, and the statistics back that up. plus, he's been arguably the best cubs offensive player, and he's getting the most at-bats. are solo home runs really a bad thing anyways?

Len IS awesome. Len is awesome. But I didn't totally dig this call. He had alot of energy, AT FIRST. But then his kermit the frog voice wasn't able to support his emotion and he lost some of the, depth of his voice. And the "oh baby" just didn't hav the "oomph" that I would expect out of a follow up phrase. 8.5 out of 10. I'm still remembering the Walker superman slide and Chip's call. That imo, was the best TV cubs win call I can remember. Say what you want about chip, but he called a GREAT homer, and great win. i disagree 100%. len is amazing and that call might be my favorite cubs tv call ever. len sounded 100% genuine in his excitement.

how about whenever we sign a new cub, or there's a really long and interesting discussion about a possible cubs transaction/a cubs news story, we put that in a new forum called "nsbb classics" or something that way people will stop randomly bumping these 1-2 year old threads.

ok, seriously. i have no beef with marco, he seems like a cool enough guy, but how is he getting all this support? honestly, i never noticed him until this tournament. i tend to think i have my finger on the pulse of what everyone is feeling at nsbb, but i had no idea this guy had so many supporters. i couldn't tell you anything about his baseball ideology, sense of humor, or any other characteristics like i can about everyone else in the tournament. like i said, marco is cool with me, but i am blown away that he's gone this far in the tournament, let alone that he's probably going to defeat the guy who should win the whole damn thing, yeti.

hows about you go fight pinghitter in the second round and see if anybody feels sorry for you at least pinghitter showed up for your match. jon hasn't appeared once in this one and i still lose.
