    Haha, poor cardinals. I would almost feel bad for them if this wasn't just so hilarious. Walt Jocketty mortgaged the future to win the World Series. I wish Hendry would do the same. The trouble comes when you mortgage the future and miss the championship. No he didn't. He mortgaged the future because he's not that great of a GM. Yet, they manage to win the division every year. Strange how that works it's not like he's in the same division as the red sox and yankees.

    Not when it's ended by a game like this. great baseball teams lose 50+ games a year, even to crappy teams. i'll be worried if they play 2 games like this in a row.

    you could also say if Marshall didn't walk the lead off guy and give up a hit, it never would have gotten to Kendall. But I know better to argue when a player already has his grave dug for him before he comes over. come on. kendall didn't even realize the ball was still in play until too late. he should shoulder a lot of blame for today's loss.

    the cubs are 5-2 when derrek lee hits a homerun. that's a .714 winning percentage. that equals 115 wins in the season. i hope derrek lee hits home runs every game.
