and 1-2 months later, the best poster tournament is practically forgotten about and not discussed, and no one really cared while it was happening. a hall of fame won't be forgotten though, it's a bad idea. there's a difference.

there was an espn.com article that said that the only current baseball players who have a chance, using a career projections model, were griffey jr, dunn, pujols, howard, and of course a-rod. though in a couple years they'll probably add prince fielder too. and all of those players, save for a-rod, had a less than 10% chance of reaching the record.

I'll bet he tries real hard to find a new team in the offseason, but won't. And we'll only hear that he decided to retire a long time ago, knowing nothing of his attempt to stay in the game. i don't think barry finding a team will be a problem. i'm more talking about a federal indictment and the overall stress he probably already goes through causing him to walk away. some team would pony up for bonds though.

Elinore is exactly why I think a Vance blowout could actually cost him the win. Whoever is in charge will see all they need to know from Vance's essay (30K posts, voting 100K times for DLEE) and decide that Elinore is the more deserving candidate and give her the win anyway. I'm still going to vote for Vance relentlessly, but if that's what ends up happening, as long as it's in favor of Elinore, I won't be terribly disappointed. elinore can kiss my ass. if she wins this contest is a sham.
