    Depends on where you set the floor for innings pitched. If you set it at 1,000 like it is on Baseball Reference, Mariano Rivera will take over as the leader soon. He has an ERA+ of 195 in 958.1 innings. The fact that Pedro is at 160 as a starter is a bit more impressive to me, but no other reliever in the history of the game comes close to Rivera's ERA+ of 195. i meant for starting pitchers.

    pedro's the all-time career era+ leader by a pretty significant margin. that'll be unbroken for a long, long time.

    I was wondering the same thing myself. the only race thing I remember was him saying that black people play better in the heat. You don't remember his claims of incessant racial taunts against LaTroy Hawkins and Jacque Jones? Or his comments about San Francisco's racist tendencies when they ran him out of town? it'll all be good, there haven't been any recent racial tensions in cincinnati or anything.

    he's gotta sit corey against the tough lefty lilly Lilly is pitching Thursday? That means he's only going to play in 1 game. If he gets 12 ABs in one games, hits 3 homers, and steals 7 bases, that will be impressive. why won't he play against dempster or z?

    this is really stupid. it's weird how lou has this blind devotion to dempster but hill is on a short leash. granted dempster has looked good so far this year, but dempster had a bad spring and there was no doubt in lou's mind that he was his #3 starter. lou's been very weary about hill this season, for whatever reason. i guess last season's good year doesn't matter to him.

    If .323/.353/.839/1.192 with 4 HRs, 4 2Bs, and 8 RBIs is hitting the crap out of the ball, yes he is. He plays amazing defense as well. he's getting reds fans all excited, so that probably means he'll tear his acl again in june and suck for the next 4 years again.

    That's incredible. I've always thought about making a blog dedicated to collecting those type of videos. Videos of watch party reactions, or just videos of crowds in general? Because I always loved the center field shot of the crowd of Wood's home run in Game 7 of the NLCS. I can't believe Wrigley didn't collapse. Just reaction videos in general, it's the best thing that youtube does. that's a brilliant idea.

    actually wagner then reveals that he's right handed and strikes out fukudome on 3 pitches and in the process fukudome breaks his spine swinging the bat and the cubs are ruined for another 100 years

    i remember goony saying barrett lunged first last year, and i looked at the video of it probably a million times, and i still don't see it that way. he may have made a small movement towards him, but he didn't lunge at him.
