  1. I don't think so. Baseball is a team game unless the pitcher strikes out 27 guys and gives up no hits. If a player makes an error in the field (non pitcher) and the next guy comes up and hits a tater why should the pitcher bear the brunt? because theoretically, wouldn't he just give up that home run the next inning?
  2. cubs usually suck when i'm in attendance. sorry guys.
  3. One inning of good offense in three games and you should have swept? Hmm... Please keep hoping for the pixie dust to work. We gave away the first game and anyone who was watching knows it. wolf is right. i think he completely understands that the cardinals aren't as good as they've been playing. but at the same time, it's not like the cubs played brilliantly against the cards and got unlucky.
  4. Yes I do. Do YOU remember when Mike Schmidt hit .196 as a rookie? The Phillies obviously should have released that worthless bum. You just compared Ronny Cedeno to Mike Schmidt...................................................................................................................................................................................... no kidding. cedeno's gonna be a lot better.
  5. Funny because I like guys who hit over .300 and get on base. neifi perez in april 2005 .368/.403/.559
  6. if fukudome isn't going to have home run power he should be leading off. then bat derosa 2nd. fukudome derosa lee ramirez soriano soto theriot pie/johnson
  7. Ok, so all of Dempster's 5 runs were unearned today. I want to know how that's possible since he gave up a home run to Dunn. Maybe he's not responsible for the baserunner that was on during the home run, but it's ridiculous that he isn't responsible for the ball traveling approximately 500 feet. I don't see how that can be justified, even if it happened after what was supposed to be the 3rd out.
  8. i'm pretty sure there should be a new rule that ryan theriot isn't allowed to attempt to steal bases anymore.
  9. Pretty confident statement given the fact that he's blown 3 of 7 saves. he's struck out 13 while only walking 3. he has a sub 1.00 whip. he's only allowed 1 homer. i think he'll be fine.
  10. wood's fine.
  11. Come on, man. What is that his 3rd blown save already this year? Plus the horrible outing in game one. I have had enough of the Wood for closer experiment. lol
  12. i propose a new rule in which whoever scores the most runs in a series wins all the games in the series.
  13. let's hope 2008 gagne is pitching today and not 2003 gagne
