    The sad thing for the "Monroe-vian" Cub fans is that the paper will probably just cut n paste the daily AP Wire article in the paper. I highly doubt there will be any actual 'coverage' of the Cubs by them. BTW Vance... yes, I did vote! :wink:

    If we are talking about mlb.tv, then they likely determine your zip code based upon ip address. ...or billing address on your credit card. Wrong. Only the address on your IP. I lived in England last year and watched every game, bought from a credit card that has an 61801 zip code, which is in the blackout area. thanks for the heads up.. good to know!

    Too early to call this one IMO, but he and Perry certainly have made the offense more patient at the plate! I like the acquisitions we made and with Lou being the manager, it played a part in the guys choosing to come here. If I had to give a grade though, and from what I've read in game threads and seen on TV how he handles the players, I'd give him a at least a B+ thus far.

    As far as baseball goes, I couldn't agree more with the picks of Morgan and Buck... but the one that really grinds on me is Bill Walton calling BBall games... makes my ears bleed! :evil:

    There's ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with short girls, so long as they're not stubby. I'd take a 4'10" girl with a hot body over a 5'10" girl with a hot body anyday, and I've dated both. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to figure out why. I'm all about what he said! :twisted:

    I read that Maddux told Marquis (being pretty close friends from what I understand) to pay close attention to what Rothschild has to say, and that he has much respect for Rothschild as well. Again, I really don't pin the blame of the pitching staff woes of the past few years on Larry. I blame Dusty for his perceived overrulings of Larry's opinions/decisions. That's odd because last year I heard rumors that Maddux didn't think highly of Rothschild at all you can find the quote HERE

Running guys out there consistently for 100+ pitches wasn't Larry's idea. That's the manager. That's why I'm reserving judgement :wink: One thing that puzzles me a little though...if Dusty really did override him as much as we all think, I'm surprised he opted to stay here and work with Dusty again instead of going to Detroit. Makes you wonder if Hendry spoke to him and Rothschild knew way before anyone else that Dusty's time was about to come to an end. If I were Rothschild, there's no way I would have come back to be an assistant under him again. I'd suspect Larry had some inside info last season on the fate of Dusty and his regime, otherwise, like you said, why would he pass up the gig in Detroit? Makes sense.

    From what I gathered from my cable company, they weren't offering it up until this got settled. I called at the beginning of February and they told me to call back after Feb 15th. I called after Feb 15th and that's when they said that we would have to wait until everthing got settled. If you do order MLBTV and need help transferring it to your TV via the S-Cable, I'll give you the instructions. That would be awesome, because I'll probably need help. How long do they make S-Cables? Where my lap top is stationed is probably at least 15 feet from where the TV sits. Of course, I am still holding out hope that my cable company picks up MLB EI. I have a 50' RCA/S-Vid Cable i got off eBay for $30 for just that reason a few yrs ago. But now that I have a HDTV, I just picked up a HDMI-DVI cable to run from the PC to the TV. :twisted:

    Agreed. On a similar note, when will the Shawon Dunston long stirrups come back? I hope never. Wasn't Maddux using those things? Maddux wore the old style sock-stirrup combo.
