  2. Barrett with a diving tag on Visquel running back to third base.
  3. and yet ANOTHER steal for Omar... ugh
  4. yikes! Remmy warming up... chalk this game up as a ...........
  5. really! what's Dusty's deal with Holla? Murton hasn't started since his 4 hit game last week! And Cedeno.. poor guy needs to be sent down for refresher training... sickening, it is! Left field is too difficult a defensive position to allow a rookie to play it. only in Dusty's mind.. or lack of

  7. The other nice thing is, if you miss a game, you can always watch it later because MLB archives the feeds.
  8. I love it - worth every penny. I don't have cable TV, but get to watch any game but the national blackouts. Also, you can flip between games pretty easily if you're bored and get broadcasts of almost any game. I've got DSL at home and the stream is fine (my work T1 is even better!). The picture is very clear if you open it in the normal window size (I prefer Real Player, but Windows Media Player is fine). The picture starts to lose clarity quickly if you start moving to a 2x picture. That said, I've watched a few games in full screen, but you're definately looking at a so-so picture. Even then, it's still o.k. In fact, I've checked out the projection capabilities in a lecture hall and would have been glad to watch a few games on the big screen! I'll second that...the t-1 here at work is much much smother than my cable modem at home....of course a lot of times at home I'm playing poker and in a game thread, while also having the game on...I think that explains a lot of the times of my picture freezing. Yeah, you do want to limit your bandwidth as it will degrade your connection. Full screen mode on the PC is not as clear (blocky/pixelated), but as I said before, try transferring the feed to your TV.. makes a big difference!
  9. Mizzou, I've been using mlb.tv since the 2003 season. The feed comes through very smooth and clean using a cable modem. You have a choice of using either WMP or RealPlayer. Personally, I like the feed better using Real. I have a S-Video out port on my video card and run a 50' RCA/S-Vid cable from the computer to my 36" TV, and the picture is just as good on the TV as it is on the PC. And, for the $79, I feel it's a much better deal than subscribing to MLB Extra Innings package ($169). It really works more for me because I travel a lot with work, so I can watch it on the laptop in my hotel. I'd say, try it for a month and see for yourself! C.
  10. Pittsburgh's broadcasters are THE cure for insomnia!
  11. Yea and like most of the analysts are saying, few years from now we could be saying "How did we let that guy go?"... If the NL had the DH, I would've voted for Dubois. It was painful watching him flounder in the OF.
  12. I've been a Mozilla guy since the introduction of Firebird (which spawned Firefox). However, Mozilla's email client, Thunderbird, needs some more work.

  14. . That's the idea, you dont see it coming. They have pulled this move before however. I wish we had gotten some of those runners LOB. Well, it's pretty sad when a fan, such as myself and the announcers suspect it could be coming, but a overpaid manager like Crusty cannot. Not to mention, frustrating as hell too!
  15. I just had a sneaking suspicion that they'd try to pull it off... and Dusty didn't even see it coming.. jerk!
  16. LOL BBB.. you can also add "Roadleegez" to the mix! Growing up in the Chicago area, I always pronounced hispanic names the way they look. But like you in San Diego, here in the San Antonio area it's (ugh) pronounced with the 'tongue rolling". I can't stand to watch the local news because of it. And to Bruce. Great article!! Thanks for presenting the majority mindset from NSBB to the general public. In regards to Joe Morgan, how does ESPN keep this clown on the air??? I'm so sick of his "me, me, me" attitude.
  17. Did you get the express written concent from Major League Baseball for that? No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
  18. LOL... maybe not, but at any rate.. this sure has been an interesting day.. or wasted. Take your pick! Well guys, I'm outta here for the night.
  19. I didn't call him dense. I asked him if he was being dense. If I was misconstruing what someone wrote or said, and I did it multiple times, I would hope someone would point it out. touche`! I guess I fell victim of misconstruing what you said in regards to the dense statement. But, me thinks it's gonna cause tempers to flare in Gary, IN.
  20. No need to be calling people dense, IMB. This is a message board and opinions vary, thus creating heated debates. Sometimes things are overlooked, ya know?
  21. Well, regardless of what circumstances arose from the rumor the author started... it made for one heck of a read today!
