  1. My top 3 most hated Cubs in my lifetime: 1. Todd Hundley 2. LaTroy Hawkins 3. Dave Kingman followed closely by: Felix Heredia/Matt Karchner
  2. hahaha... Way to go Giants!
  3. I picked NY to upset Dallas and Green Bay, and they didn't disappoint me. Why stop now??
  4. My memory is that it was when I lived there (1962 through 1975). If I recall you used to live in Waukegan; I lived just west of Gurnee. My recollection is that Illinois was usually a Republican state except for Chicago. Good memory, NC! Been a long time since we had that discussion.
  5. Tyrants friend at the luncheon says it's true, RedIvy's friend at the luncheon says it's false.... Other's supposedly at the luncheon says "true", others familiar with JH's past personality and neighbors of JH stating the same.... I'll tend to believe JH was dropping F-bombs and being forthright in a relaxed/non-media covered event.
  6. I believe the odds favor democratic affiliation even more so if you're located in the city of Chicago. I lived in northern Lake County (IL) from 1970 to 1996, and if I remember correctly, it was mostly a republican county.
  7. I completely agree. This was why I conducted my age demographic poll a couple months ago, to get a better idea on the mindsets of the various age groups. And I guess my political affiliation is quite evident by my post count!
  8. Hey! Leave me out of it! and, don't count out Rudy in the GOP... My bet's still on him to receive the nomination... He's moderate enough to win the whole ball of wax, IMO.
  9. Office 07 is now backwards compatible with 03. So, the issue with the .doc and .xlsare over. M$ Download Page
  10. Gotta keep management happy, ya know! Plus, it bides me an extra year in this bracket! 8-)
  11. You should've included the "Meh.." smiley: :| That would've been my answer.
  12. He should probably join the TV booth instead to fill the roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes of blank air Hawk leaves available when the Sox are losing. LOL.There is gonna be alot of that tihs year. Music to my ears. All the more reason for WGN to drop the Sox games and add more Cubs games!
  13. I used the site in the pre-mlb.com days, and listened to the radio broadcasts when they were first offered online for free, but never hit the boards. How long ago were the pre-mlb.com days? I want to say mlb took control around 2000 or 2001. I believe your could listen to games for free online around 1996/97 timeframe, and that lasted a few years. My screen name on the old cubs.com site was 'agrotech', and that was during the 1998 season. I believe it was the '99 season that mlb.com took it over.
  14. That would've had you at 8 and 9 yrs old, Roast!
  15. How many here remember the ORIGINAL cubs.com message boards before mlb.com took them over? Or, when you could listen to a game on wgnradio.com for free? Boy, my age is showing!
  16. Fred still didn't fit in. if we use carbon dating we might be able to figure out his age You guys are brutal!! To the 20 and under crowd... My poll... therefore, y'all are lumped together. Suck it up, youngins! :-({|=
  17. Miami will somehow find a way to win against the Pasties!
  18. Trying to get an idea of the age range of posters here at NSBB. Thanks for participating!
  19. I can see Cliff being utilized in the DH role moreso than in RF.
  20. Japanese pitchers just don't pan out so well in MLB for some reason. Dice-K hardly panned out to be the phenom that was expected, especially after MLB hitters got to see his stuff the first time around... and IMHO, is nowhere near worth the amount of his contract. I really think he'll turn out like all the other pitchers that came from across the Pacific... either "meh".. or a huge bust. Position players on the other hand, have shown much better results historically at the MLB level (with the exception of KazMat).
  21. I consider them to be winners in this saga, not signing Rowand or Hunter. Who plays CF. Owens? Maybe KW can trade for Juan Pierre? There's always Scotty Pods...
  22. my favorite Cliff moment with the Cubs.... http://home.satx.rr.com/agrotech/Cliff.gif
  23. Why all the focus on GRIT? What ever happened to being SCRAPPY???
  24. LOL, i noticed that myself! Pretty eerie, eh?
  25. I use the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3. It has a 10x optical zoom and auto ISO (up to 3200). It takes GREAT low light pics w/o a flash and unlimited mpg video. I bought this camera while I was at the 2007 WSOP in Vegas. I got mine off the Circuit City website for $269 Here's a review: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2007_reviews/panasonic_tz3.html
