Today should be a good test to see where Silva is actually at. He has pitched great but AZ's offense is a tougher one to get through than the HOU, NYM, and CINCY. If Silva can go 7 and keep it to 4 or under I will feel pretty good about him.

The exciting thing to me is the team as a whole including Soriano is working deep counts and taking walks. If this continues this offense will end up similar to 2008, wait for the best pitch to drive if you do not get it take the walk. This team will do some serious damage in warm weather versus average pitchers. As soon as Lee and Ramirez wake up they will hit good pitching as well.

Yea a night where wind was not such a negative factor and the Cubs hammer the Natspo's. That being said, this team needs to know those nights and try to drive the ball to the gap or play station to station.

Don't act so shocked. He's been doing so for like the last two weeks. I know he has been hitting better but I've rarely ever seen him have an AB that lasted that long. He's had quite a few really long AB's the last few games. That's what I was talking about. Oh. I have missed a lot of games in the last week or so. :( You have only missed 2 good ones.

That isnt fair to Silva, Silva's pitches have pretty good backdoor movement and when he puts it in the right spot he can control an offense. Glendon Rusch sucks at pitching.
