  1. Didn't mean to rip on you, but I've never ever heard of someone being both a Cubs/Cards fan. And that comes from someone that lives in split territory for most of the year. If the Cubs/Cards rivalry isn't a "rivalry," I don't know what is. Recent years, yes. I'm not so caught up in it, as I follow both. And my sympathy always lies with the underdog, which started out as the Cards this year, and has now swerved to the Cubs. BTW, I'm also a Hawks/Bulls fan and a Rams/Cardinals fan.
  2. UMF....thanx for the tolerence. I don't understand the rivalry thing between the Cards/Cubs. The Yank/Sox thing I see. Giants/Dodgers I see. But there is virtually no history to support any real hatred between Cubs/Cards. You have to go back to the 1800's to see any REAL rivalry. (I read up on it) If there is any team that I truly don't like it's the Dodgers and I really wanted the Cubs to take 3 of 4 and get back into this thing. I still think there's a lot of time left.
  3. If that is a reference to me, wise guy, then you are half right. I'm a fan of BOTH. Not that it's any of your business. So you're not an actual fan k I guess I'm not. Not in your frame of reference. I don't live and die with either team. My sympathy's right now are with the Cubs. It's hard to watch sometimes (like this series) Don't get on my case because you can't understand my way of thinking. I never got on you for yours. Haha, yeah - we don't understand the fact that you can be a "fan" of two rival teams that are supposed to hate each other. Shame on us. It's really quite simple. Father from St. Louis, mother from Wheaton. Both Fans and niether hated the other. When one team was eliminated they both rooted for the other. My fondest wish is to see both play a post season game in my lifetime. Furthermore I don't understand the hate thing. That's your bag. It's a game. NOT war.

You can't be serious. I don't know what that means. I could'nt figure out how to put a personal one on so I chose the green girl cuz nobody else was using it. Just trying to be distinctive. But you get on me because I'm not in with the NSBB clique of team bashers. Since I'm not die hard (and new around here) you are threatened I guess. I'm supposed to type in hahahahahahaha every time Miles K's like you? Do your thing.

  7. It reminds me of Major League II when everyone in the dugout is busy bickering and fighting and the catcher (Baker?) bunts for a hit, steals 2nd and hustles home for the tying run on a single (I think that's right) despite dealing with an injured ankle. The whole team is looking blah and he's flying all over the field making plays. Ignite a spark, maybe? D Lee was inspired!!
  8. 4-0 Padres Last chance in the 9th. Cubs need this as the Cards lose this one!
  9. Yea, Yahoo got slightly confused: Last Play: M. Holliday struck out looking, A. Pujols caught stealing, catcher CBS sports Gamecast is better....sound effects when something happens, so you don't have to be glued to the screneCards w/2 2out singles now....
  10. Wierd DP by Cards. Ryan and Pujols both standing on 2nd after a stikeout!
  11. Not me...but I do like that he is all alone in the booth. No boring chit-chat what's wrong with him? Lived in the Cal desert in the late 80's and had to listen to Dodger games or nothing. Just got sick of his nasal delivery and the endless Farmer Johns Fat Pork commercials!

  13. Just in case anyone doesn't know about it, the game will be streamed on that ATDHE.Net site tonite.
  14. I puked a little in my mouth.....G'nite all
  15. They int walked Babe Ryan to get to pitcher......inning over. Just 1 run
  16. A gapper between Soriano's bat and the ball maybe. Why don't we trade him?! Somebody has to be willing to take him in order to trade him. What if we threw in Miles?
