  1. Oh and there's a decent chance the Magic will land a somewhat big name via trade. So far I've heard Arenas, Carmelo, Paul, and Mayo. Of course most if not all those rumors are/were entirely hogwash, but it could happen.
  2. 107-78. In Chicago. the magic lost to the raptors at home. are the raptors better? There's a difference between losing to a team and getting demolished. Plus it's not like Orlando continually loses to the Raptors. The Bulls continually lose to Orlando. They've owned Chicago the past few years, and there's no reason at all to think that will change this year, barring an injury. This isn't even me being a homer. I'm pretty sure 9 out of 10 people who aren't fans of either team would tell you Orlando is still the superior team. But we aren't even having this discussion if half our team doesn't come down with the flu right before the road trip out West. If you don't think all four of our losses last week were tied to the team having/getting over the flu then I don't know what to tell you. Without it we go 3-1 at worst over those 4.
  3. Oh and even though the Lions won that means the entire NFC North scored a total of 20 points this weekend. That has to be a record for lowest weekly point total by a division.
  4. And the Bears looked beyond awful on Sunday. In fact I don't remember a week where the Bears, Packers, and Vikings all looked like such utter garbage (13 combined points between the 3 teams lol). I'd also like to know how many times in the past 10 years the Lions have been the only team from the NFC North to win in a particular week. I bet it's very low.
  5. 107-78. In Chicago.
  6. If the injury was so bad that it ended maybe the most impressive streak in all of sports, he's not going to be anywhere near 100% next week even if he plays. Therefore, Jackson still gives the Vikings the best chance of winning.
  7. Yeah that 107.2 QB rating last year was so crappy.
  8. If you just wanted to say the Metrodome sucks you should have just said that and left out the first sentence. No one would disagree. It doesn't even make sense the way you put them together. And in case you hadn't noticed, they've kind of been trying to get a stadium for a long time. The game should be in Minnesota because a home game was scheduled, there's a viable alternative in town and ticket holders should be able to see the last two games of the year that they paid for. The 50th anniversary stuff is what seals the deal for wanting it at TCF instead of Detroit. Why not move it to Milwaukee? My teams certainly seem to do well when their games get randomly relocated there. Do you really want a stadium full of Packers fans rooting for the Bears to lose?
  9. Just beat the damn Vikings and the other crap probably doesn't matter. I don't see anyway the Packers win in Foxboro with Matt Flynn, and it's doubtful they win with a concussed Rodgers. Then again, I didn't see anyway the Lions could beat the Packers yesterday. Gotta love the NFL.
  10. I'd actually be quite surprised if the game is still played in the Metrodome. I'm not an expert on architecture or construction, but it just seems like a lot of crap to clean up and fix in a week's time.
  11. I don't think so. That puts both teams at 11-5, but since the Bears would have beaten the Vikings, they would hold the division record tiebreaker 5-1 over 4-2. 2-1 wins us the division regardless.
  12. That's the best case scenario for the Bears I think. Simply because it's playing a dome team outdoors and it's not like the weather could get any worse than what the Bears just played in. What are the other options? Ford Field? Edward Jones?
  13. It should also be pointed out that it's very unlikely now that the Bears end up with a WC. Simply because in order to not win the division, it would require us going 1-2 or 0-3 in the final 3 games, in which case it's very doubtful we'd get a WC either. In fact, I believe it's now impossible for us to go 2-1 and get a WC instead of the division, because 2-1 wins us the division regardless of who the two wins are against. Right? The only way we can get a WC is if we lose games against the Vikings and Packers but beat the Jets, and then two of the Giants/Eagles/Bucs decide to tank and finish at 10-6 (in the case of the Eagles) or below. Playoff scenarios are tiring.
  14. Why this one over Week 17 at Lambeau? In fact, even if the Bears lose against the Vikings and Jets, and the Packers beat the Pats and Giants, we still win the division with a win in Week 17. In that scenario, the Bears would be 9-6 going into the final game, with GB at 10-5. Thus, a Bears win would put both teams at 10-6 with the Bears winning the head-to-head tiebreaker.
  15. And actually because of that I'm kinda leaning towards wanting to face Jackson now. I dunno.
  16. Yeah I don't want to play there. While I think I'd prefer facing Favre over Jackson, I could see the crowd rallying behind him because it's his last home game, and MNF.
  17. In addition to the Pats, the Packers have a pretty damn tough game against the Giants as well. If something happens we can get help from both of those teams, the Bears would only have to win one of their next two to clinch. Also, everything I've read says people are optimistic the dome will be repaired in time for the Bears game. Anyone have the latest on that front?
  18. So I guess Sub-Zero from MK is coaching the Pats today.
  19. Now next week's game is huge. Also, if they win this week, next week clinches the division. Correct. If we win today, all we have to do is beat the Vikings next week regardless of what GB does. If we lose today, we can still clinch next week with a GB loss against NE coupled with a win against the Vikings.
  20. I know this is a general NFL thread but we can have some respect for the resident Packers fans trying to enjoy the game? We wouldn't like it if they were celebrating in our thread.
  21. Nice Lovie impression, McCarthy.
  22. I hope it's televised somewhere. NFL Network maybe? I care a hell of a lot more about that game than I do Ravens-Texans on Monday night.
  23. If Brett Jackson is in any package for Matt Garza, I for one won't be watching the 2011 Cubs. A package of Lee, Chirinos, and J. Jackson would be pushing it as it is.
  24. I actually hope they still play at noon. You'd have to think all this chaos and flying into Minneapolis in the early morning would hurt the Giants chances of winning, which would help everyone racing them for a Wild Card.
  25. Thankfully the Bears also throw mostly short passes, so the wind shouldn't be too much of a factor. This defense is due for some takeaways and although the Pats are very good at protecting the ball, crazy things can happen with a snowy, wet, rock hard football.
