  1. We're going to be playing GB in the WC round. I don't see anyway we beat GB in Lambeau next week, meaning we can only avoid GB if Philly loses one of their two games or if the Saints lose both of their remaining games. Neither of those will happen. The only thing that is making me feel better is that GB will most likely have to beat us twice to advance to the divisonal round, and that is tough for any team to do. But they will because that stuff happens to Sulley's teams.
  2. What?
  3. Damn, that's the Vikings best chance of winning. Oh well, maybe if it's postponed Favre can play.
  4. At this time last year I really feared we had lost that trade with Denver, but this year has been a different story. So far not much has come out of the two 1st-rounders and 3rd-rounder we traded them except for a guy named Robert Ayers (2009 1st-rounder) who so far has been a huge bust. They traded down with the other picks we gave them, but I don't believe any of those guys have made much of an impact thus far, although I could be wrong. Now Orton has lost his starting job, which is partially due to injury, but his last two games were nothing short of horrible. Then throw in the fact that he was 3-10 as a starter this year (whether it's his fault or not) and you have a benched quarterback. The Bears on the other hand seem to finally have their franchise QB after he sent almost everyone into panic by falling well short of expectations in 2009, a problem that was solved largely by hiring a real offensive coordinator. In addition, we got our #1 WR (even though he's not a legit #1) in Knox with that 5th-rounder from Denver. So looking back on it now, the trade looks pretty damn good. What a difference a year makes.
  5. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=5947641 Cutler says he won't stay away from Revis. Probably going to be a long afternoon.
  6. Can someone please explain to me, again, how Jay Cutler is a douchebag? I'd also appreciate if the explanation wasn't from an irrational Bears hater. If his deal in Denver is what made him a douchebag, please reconsider the situation. They threatened to replace him with an inferior QB in Matt Cassel right after he made the Pro-Bowl. He deserved to be pissed.
  7. That's a total of 16. I know the SB one doesn't count toward the 14, but I assume the other is the Missed FG against the Giants? That's kind of lame.
  8. What's everyone's thoughts on Hester already being a HOFer?
  9. I don't really have a problem with the Bears being 8th, but ranking the Eagles is 3rd is nothing short of ridiculous. One of the worst defenses in the entire NFL. Not to mention the Bears beat them convincingly.
  10. Stafford's shoulder turned into steel overnight?
  11. GB has the best point differential in the NFC, yet they're in danger of missing the playoffs. Unreal.
  12. Yeah Sunday's return was only the 4th of Jackson's career. Still 10 shy of Hester and Hester is far from done.
  13. Not very, unless Philly loses, then we would clinch the 2nd seed. I'm resigned to the fact that Philly is going to win their remaining two games, both of which are at home against the Vikings and Cowboys. Therefore we're most likely going to have to win our last two to get that first-round bye. I don't see it happening. When's the last time the Bears played during WC weekend? 1994?
  14. And what happens if there's a 4-way tie at 10-6 between the Packers, Giants, Bucs, and Saints? This could happen...
  15. If the Packers win out and the Saints lose out, do the Packers jump ahead of the Saints for the 5th seed? Looks to me like both would have 8-4 conference records. What's the next tiebreaker?
  16. Holy crap Knox's right knee looks horrible. That could have easily been a torn ACL. We do know that he kept playing after that, right?
  17. Oh and can we please give Kahlil Bell some freaking carries? I know he's been inactive, but Taylor is horrendous and Wolfe should be strictly special teams.
  18. The Bears have now won 7 divisional games in a row.
  19. Yup. The next time we lose our season is over. If you beat the Giants next week but the Giants lose to the Redskins in Week 17, you get in even if you lose to the Bears. Slim chance Washington wins that game, but stranger things have already happened this year. This is all assuming Tampa loses at least once more as well, which they will.
  20. Yeah I'm refraining from saying anything negative about the Packers until I know for sure we won't be playing them in the playoffs. However I'm pretty sure most of the comments were in response to Erik's comments, as others have already said.
  21. God what a great win. Is there anyone left who still doesn't like the Martz hiring? Can breathe a little easier over these last two games, although I really want that 2nd seed.
  22. No Peterson tonight, per ESPN. Another huge break.
  23. Unfortunately that line looks good enough to win, especially if Peterson has a decent day.
  24. And if true, that's the biggest joke of all. Everything is forgiven after a win that doesn't even guarantee the Packers the division? Give me a [expletive] break. HURRAH FAVRE! Thank you for keeping us alive for the division for 6 more days until we lose to the Giants! Wouldn't shock me. Not with that bumbling moron of a head coach we have. And ultimately, what did Favre end up doing with the Vikings? If they made it to the Super Bowl or won the damn thing a year ago, I'd probably dislike the guy forever. He choked in the NFC championship game, which was totally worth it. And then this year has been pretty awesome to watch too. If he ends up beating the Bears to ensure a chance at the division championship, I'd let "bygones be bygones" and probably forgive the guy with no real harm done to the Packers. I don't see the problem there. But if he loses it's back to hating him, as if he purposely threw the game? C'mon, the whole idea is ridiculous. Whether or not you "forgive" a player shouldn't hinge on one game where a win still doesn't gaurantee you anything.
