  1. Why is everyone acting like all of these games will be played?
  2. Rain is supposed to hold off until around 9 PM. Looks like they'll get this one in.
  3. First reaction was that Kenny Rogers had come out of retirement and was pitching this game.
  4. You know things are bad when Shark seems like a much better option than Demp.
  5. Here comes Aaron Miles to give LA the lead.
  6. Note to self: Don't ever form an opinion on a manager before they manage a full season.
  7. Great start to the season by Demp. 6.98 ERA and rising. :stickman:
  8. Happy to eat crow when it comes to Barney, even though this won't keep up all year.
  9. Glad to see Reed Johnson isn't completely worthless yet.
  10. If there's one offense James Russell and a gassed bullpen can handle, it's the San Diego Padres.
  11. Entirely on the offense. You can't expect to win 2 games scoring 2 total runs.
  12. Byrd should be hitting 8th at this point.
  13. Sweep today and we're gauranteed a share of 1st place at the end of the day. :stickman:
  14. It's unlikely that Castro will ever hit 30+ HRs a season or steal 35+ bases, which is why Derek Jeter has been a more acceptable comparison. Although I will say that Hanley played his first season in the majors when he was 22, hitting 17 HRs that year. Castro will be 22 next season, and I don't think it's THAT far-fetched if he was hitting 15-20 HRs by then. But 10-12 is probably more likely.
  15. On a lighter note... Castro, Ramirez, and Soriano are all locked in at the plate and it makes me very happy. If the rotation had even been average to this point, we'd probably have 10 wins. Obviously it's too early to panic, but if things don't turn around, I'm sure people will start pointing some fingers at Riggins. Nice start by Coleman tonight though.
