  1. So glad we gave up that first out to a guy with control problems.
  2. Bryant against LHP in 39 ABs: .436/.551/.974 6 HRs and a 1.525 OPS. Lmfao.
  3. Great series. I always loathe myself around this time of year for not being a Hawks fan.
  4. Terry Shea was the [expletive] worst.

  6. I still don't see Bryant becoming a career .250 hitter though, like was mentioned already.
  7. Huh, I guess that's what I get for mostly being disinterested in baseball since 2008.
  8. If I could have 2000 Troy Glaus, sure. But for the majority of his career he was a .250/.350/.500 type of guy. Am I crazy for wanting more than that? I want the perennial .310/.380/.550 guy. In other words, Ryan Braun without the PEDs.
  9. Yeah, the Reynolds stuff was about Gallo. I'm already expecting Troy Glaus with Bryant, but optimistic for more.
  10. I'd like to introduce you to this guy. Ah, yes. So much for being the second coming of Mark Reynolds.
  11. Only Kris Bryant could OPS .800 in a game without putting a ball in play.
  12. I'm not sure how anybody who watched the NFL last year can rank that corps ahead of the Bears'. They're assuming that a team bringing in a new #1 and pairing him with the existing #1, will get WR production at the level the Bears' unit has already gotten, together. Even if you remove the team dynamic and examine the players individually, I think you still go with the Bears here. It's not like Wilson will have to be that good to mirror Roberts' likely production.
  13. While I suppose just about all of me wants a Cubs WS more than a Bears SB, I don't think I'd have the same reaction from Castro and Rizzo. I'm just not as attached to those players. Maybe that would change if they went on a run, but I didn't really gravitate toward any one player in 98, 03, or 08. I dunno, baseball players definitely keep to themselves more, which makes it harder. Anyways, Marshall really gets it. Jay and him winning a SB together would be the greatest, most epic thing I've ever witnessed when it comes to my sports teams.
  14. There can't be many people left that still have Baez ahead of Bryant, can there?
  15. Don't know if it was on purpose or not, but nice timing posting this right as our one blue player was being extended.
  16. This extension was in the bag when Cutler got re-signed. Hey, if there's only one QB that makes a man happy, I can respect that.

  18. I've read that Fales arm is actually pretty average, and not as Pennington-like as people are making it out to be. Like the pick, and personally hope he wrestles the backup spot away from Palmer sooner rather than later. Hard to be excited about a punter no matter who it is, but it will be nice to have a big leg for once after agonizing years of Maynard and Podlesh. I assume he'll win the starting gig.
  19. Didn't have time to post this, but I also like the Carey pick. Fantastic at hitting holes, overshadows his lack of speed. Probably would have taken Desir instead, but oh well. No way I'd have taken Storm Johnson though.

  21. Thornton was a bigger reach than Ferguson. Other than that, yeah they're doing alright.
