  1. I'll be pretty upset if the Vikings wind up with Bridgewater. That said, I don't see both the Raiders and Jags passing on a QB.
  2. This thread had me rolling so hard that I just had to excuse myself into the bathroom at work. God, there's nothing worse than holding in laughter in a quiet work setting.
  3. I always swear to myself I'm going to return the trash talk when bad things happen to GB, but I always end up content and therefore with no desire to do so. I hate myself sometimes.
  4. Lol @ 12-4 traveling to an 8-7-1. Playoff seeding by record can't come soon enough.
  5. I imagine Marshall will do everything he can to stay with Jay, even if it means discount. Thus, there's a pretty good chance we locked up both Jay and Brandon today, even if the latter won't be official for another year.
  6. Personally I think the NFL has more dumb fans/pundits in general than any other sport, which I suppose would come with the territory of being #1 in popularity. I've seen plenty of meatballery in baseball, especially with regard to the Cubs, but it doesn't seem to compare to what I see in the NFL. Maybe it just seems that way because the season is still fresh in my head.
  7. That's all that matters, thankfully.
  8. Man, there is no Bear I'm going to miss more than Tillman. RIP Peanut Punch.
  9. Yeah, it's a damn good plan. Someone show it to Emery.
  10. Today sucked, but still the best thing to happen in the long run, assuming we all agree that this team was never going anywhere in the playoffs. Picking at least 7-8 positions better every round is a pretty big deal. As long as the loss didn't cost Cutler a chance at coming back, and it shouldn't, then all is fine. I would hate to potentially throw away a year with a stop-gap QB when you have guys like Forte and Marshall who are getting old for their position, and in Marshall's case, going into a contract year. If we can patch up the defense, this team has a chance to be special next year, provided Jay is still under center. 13-3 might be pushing it a little, but assuming nobody blows up the offense I have total faith this team will make the playoffs next year. And as soon as GB is tossed from the playoffs I'll be totally over this one.
  11. Bears have gone with just 4 active WRs a lot this year if I recall. And as I've said before, I like what Wilson could potentially bring to the table.
  12. Wow that's quite the snub. I don't see much more he could have done to impress.
  13. Looks like no Earl Bennett on Sunday. Taking a few shots downfield with Marquess Wilson might not be the worst idea in the world.
  14. Love me some Gould, but damnit I wanted that to be Cutler.
  15. He wasn't serious about Finley, but don't worry I believed it for a second as well. It's been that kind of week.
  16. Speaking of points allowed, some optimism for your morning: Bears are giving up an average of 23.9 points at home versus 34.8 on the road. No other team has this drastic of a split. Vikings are the only team to have hit 30 against the Bears at home this year, and if I recall they had both return and defensive TDs.
  17. You're fine. FWIW I was curious and did find it though... viewtopic.php?f=44&t=52384&start=800 I'm just being a [expletive] because I hate today is all. Haha.
  18. Nah. We used to talk outside of here, that's the only reason I remember it. He was actually the one that got me to join the board sometime after he posted that.
  19. 10 months hiatus just to come back and post about GB. Haha. He's certainly more level-headed than 50% of the posters in most Bears game threads. You sure? All I see to remember is him going ape [expletive] after the Packers lost a game at Soldier Field in December 2008. I'm too lazy to dig up the post.
  20. 10 months hiatus just to come back and post about GB. Haha.
  21. At least a win over Rodgers would be sweeter and a loss less devastating than a loss against Flynn. Maybe there's rust, maybe they run less, their defense still sucks, etc. Just trying to stay positive. Trust me, deep down I'm really not.
  22. Ian Rapoport seems to think he'll be cleared.
  23. They have a limited pass rush with him, without him they virtually should get no pressure on Cutler. Yeah. Their run D is toast too. Just lost Jolly, a struggling Le'Veon Bell got them pretty good. Of course it's not as obscene as ours, but I'd like to see Forte early and often. I don't know why but I have a strange feeling Rodgers is getting cleared tomorrow, even though it would go against everything we've heard lately. Hopefully it's just gas.
  24. Yeah I'll be disappointed if we don't score at least 30 against a Packers D that is bad even with Matthews.
