  1. Speaking of Stacy, I got excited a couple weeks ago to pick him up for FLEX play/RB depth. Then I looked and some guy that doesn't even manage had him stashed since the draft. FML.
  2. Search Marshawn Lynch on Twitter right now for some laughs. His fantasy owners are on full meltdown. I had him myself in my casual league. Needed 2.6 to win, got 2.7. Lol.
  3. Yeah, I can not remember a year with so many horseshit prime time games.
  4. Doubt we would win this game even with Cutler. Like someone else said, just find a way to go 2-2 over these next 4, which basically means winning one of the Detroit/Baltimore games. Should be fine against St. Louis with no Bradford. That puts us at 6-5, hopefully with Cutler and Briggs back, and at least an outside chance of grabbing a WC. I don't know what it is about this team the last 3 years with starting off hot and then fading, but it's a real [expletive] drag.
  5. Ivory is better than James, but of course James is in a better situation at the moment in terms of role. On a bad team though, so I'd lean Ivory right now. I wish more insight would be provided as to the reason behind Ivory's 34 carries last week. Matchup? I have a hard time believing Ryan is that upset with Powell, as he's been decent this year for the most part.
  6. Wow, I take that back, 5-2. I thought my opponent would be able to muster 14 points with Hakeem Nicks and Giants kicker. :hello:
  7. The league I'm in this year we have decided to change to a points system for standings next year to somewhat fix the problem of having a high scoring team/poor record and missing the playoffs. We are going to still do head to head, you get 1 point for a win and 1 point for being in the top 4 in scoring for the week (8 teams in the league) 4 teams with the most points make the playoffs. Brilliant idea, although for my league I'd probably give 5-10 bonus points for a matchup win and nothing for top 4. Either way, it would still be far better than W-L. I always stayed away from points-based leagues because I enjoy the head-to-head. Never considered a hybrid of the two. I'm going to pitch this idea to my commish for next year.
  8. Yeah I feel ya. Last year I went 6-7 with the highest scoring team in the league (12 teams), barely squeaking into the final playoff spot on a PF tiebreaker. Similar situation this year, 2nd in PF and only 4-3, 5th place. Simply a product of winning big when you do win. In 2011 I went 11-1 (13-1 counting playoffs) with only the 4th or 5th highest scoring team. I feel like all of this is karma for that.
  9. Sounds like a perfect time to indulge myself in the NBA. Oh wait, I'm a Magic fan. :banghead:
  10. Yeah, Williams. And I'm going Rivers over Newton again this week. It bit me last week (thankfully I still won). Peyton's total against JAX got me thinking, but of course his day is different if Moreno doesn't rush for 3 TDs. So since the Chargers don't rush for TDs and Newton's Arizona game is still too fresh in my memory, I'm going with Phil.
  11. Two for each right? Nicks and Calvin, Cutler and Cam So I won the waiver for Joseph Randle this week. Is he worth a FLEX start over my aforementioned options (see above)? I'm leaning yes.
  12. Gotta stay with Allen right now. Need 1 for FLEX, 0.3 PPR: Steve Johnson @ MIA Brian Hartline vs BUF Martellus Bennett @ WSH Willis McGahee @ GB Rashard Mendenhall vs SEA Martellus?
  13. Yeah, there is nothing on the schedule this year that comes close to the horrible HOU, SF, MIN, SEA, MIN, GB stretch in 2012. GB x 2 is all I'm afraid of. Lions at home usually goes well for us. Dallas and Baltimore are closer to mediocre than decent.
  14. Eek. Probably Wright simply due to the fact they'll be playing from behind, decent chance for garbage yards. Jets don't allow much on the ground do they? QB Newton @ MIN Rivers vs. IND RB2 Lacy @ BAL McGahee vs. DET I'm leaning Rivers and Lacy, but Indy has a good D and BAL is stingy against RBs. I figure Rodgers will be able to move the ball though, perhaps giving Lacy a goal line chance or two. Part of me really wants to see what Newton can do against a bad MIN defense.
  15. If Paea is out any longer I'd say yes to a trade, otherwise I'm sure we'll survive with Wootton, Cohen, Minter, etc. alongside him.
  16. For me, the one that stands out above all as being the most excruciating loss is the home game against Washington in 2010. McNabb had nothing, and we moved the ball pretty well, BUT Deangelo Hall had 4 interceptions, including a 92-yard game-winning return. We had multiple opportunities to tie the game or take the lead late but failed every time. 6 turnovers. We had a bye the following week and I didn't watch one snap of football until the Buffalo game two weeks later.
  17. Yeah, not the ass beating I was hoping for. Getting gashed by Brandon Jacobs was by far the worst part of the game. No pressure on the QB but that's nothing new. Hated the call to go for it on 4th and 2, you have to get the points there. Thankfully Eli bailed them out soon after. Have 10 days to rest for Washington, and then 15 days after that to rest for GB. Time for the defense to heal up.
  18. Nah, although I just now read it and see why you would say that. It's pretty obvious stuff to me. What keeps me from being comfortable going into tonight is simply the fact that I can't regard NYG as a typical 0-5 team, due mostly to recent years' success, even though all the numbers tell me they're as garbage as their record. I'm hoping for a game similar to the Dallas one last year. That [expletive] was fun to watch.
  19. More nervous than I should be at this point, mostly due to the fact that it's a must-win, even if not technically so. If the Giants can eliminate their turnovers, they can move the ball well enough to keep up, especially with the way this defense has been lately.
  20. If Nicks is playing the Cubs, then you gotta play him. But yeah, him and Jeffery.
  21. Yeah it's looking like SF/Seattle loser and then whoever finishes better between the Lions and Bears with the Lions currently holding the tiebreaker. You're conceding to GB already? Smh. Wins at home against the Redskins and a Calvin-less Lions have not rendered me afraid of them... yet. Of course if we draw off the past couple years, it's a bit different feeling. That said, we ARE winning one of our two games with them this year.
  22. I feel pretty safe saying that the NFC wild cards are coming out of the North and West. Again.
  23. Not only is it a horrible call to go for it there when a FG makes it a one-score game, but you run freakin' Quizz Rodgers instead of Snelling needing one yard?
  24. Bahhh. Nothing worse than losing to a vastly inferior team who pulled just enough pts out of his you-know-where. :banghead: A.J. Green needs to stop sucking.
