  1. Actually, there was no practice, mostly because of the number of injuries. They did a walkthrough instead. "Had the Bears practiced, 11 players would have been unable to participate: Earl Bennett (concussion), Lance Briggs (knee/hip), Michael Bush (ribs), Jay Cutler (neck/knee), Kellen Davis (knee), Geno Hayes (knee), Tim Jennings (shoulder), Shea McClellin (knee), Henry Melton (chest), Jonathan Scott (shoulder) and Brian Urlacher (hamstring)." Yeah, poor wording on my part, same idea though. They actually cancelled practice because so many players were injured lol.
  2. 11 Bears missed practice today, not counting the ones who have already gone on IR. Haha.
  3. I think it's Marshall's way of daring GB to put single coverage on him, which no team in their right mind would do right now. In other news, Woodson has officially been ruled out, so the Bears catch a bit of a break there. Hopefully Tim Jennings plays.
  4. Donte Stallworth is still in the league?
  5. The Giants at 8-5 have to go into Atlanta and Baltimore before getting Philly at home in Week 17. If they lose two of those three, which is possible, they finish 9-7 which would give Washington or Dallas the division at 10-6 (they both can't finish 10-6 because they play each other Week 17). I doubt the Vikings go 3-0 @St. Louis, @Houston, and vs GB. If they do, they deserve the playoffs over the Bears. With all that said, I'm pretty confident 10-6 gets us in.
  6. Marshall needs 9 catches today for 100 on the season, and 14 more for a new career-high. 124 is certainly reachable which would put him 2nd all-time in a single season behind Marvin Harrison's ridiculous 143 in 2002.
  7. Although with that said, I can't really remember one time where the defense has gotten by fine without Urlacher on the field. So yeah I'm worried too.
  8. Geno Hayes was a starter for the previous three years with TB before signing here. Doesn't mean he's good, I know, but we're not plugging in a career special teamer.
  9. Ehh we had our breaks too. The Lynch fumble halted a promising Seattle drive, and Marshall happening to fall on his led to a TD. Could have been looking at a 10-point swing with those, at least. Also the return fumble by Weems that appeared to be recovered by Seattle inside our own 10 but couldn't be challenged. And finally, the Edwards ball at the end of the first half that was probably a TD and called incomplete. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. All your points are valid, we blew multiple opportunities, but I really haven't had a "how did we lose this game?" experience since the Redskins game in 2010. Maybe the Broncos game last year. The defense seems to finally be crashing back down to earth at the worst time. Two rookie QBs have had their way with us in the past three weeks. Huh... We'll rebound. I hope.
  10. Let's stop assuming this team is going to lose the GB game at Soldier. The Packers are a very beatable team right now.
  11. I'm pretty surprised this is Cutler's first loss with a QB rating over 100 given how terrible his defense was in Denver.
  12. Yeah swatting is just as bad. The argument I always use with Packers fans is if you're as good as you say you are, you put up more than 12 points in that game, rendering that final play irrelevant. Still a decent chance that play ends up deciding the division.
  13. What does that even mean? You even pretty much went on to point out two pretty good reasons why it's pretty much meaningless that they won the last two regular season games. That's what "although" is for. As bad as Seattle has been on the road in recent years, they have road wins here each of the past two seasons. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not.
  14. Yeah it will be interesting. Seattle's road futility means nothing to me because they know how to win here. Although we win that game last year with ease if Cutler/Forte plays. The year before they had Hasselbeck, but Wilson might be better. We'll see. I'll say the game goes a lot like the Carolina game did. Bears 24 Seahawks 23
  15. Hester and Spencer ruled out for Sunday. Forte, Tillman, and Briggs all practiced.
  16. I have to believe Forte practicing on Wednesday, even though limited, has to be a good sign for his availability. Also the fact that we didn't make a corresponding RB roster move like last time.
  17. That's awesome. It's starting to look like everyone who got hurt other than Louis will either play this weekend or by next week at the latest.
  18. Could someone tell me where Louis ranked individually among guards this year? I've searched and could only find stats for the OL as a whole.
  19. Yeah I'd probably cut McCown again. Like someone else here said, if Cutler dies it doesn't matter who's taking the snaps. Might as well let that guy from the practice squad have a roster spot if he goes down again.
  20. Forte was walking noticeably worse than he was after getting injured in the GB game, so I don't feel too good about it.
  21. Both of the Seahawks starting CBs are facing suspensions for PEDs, although I guess they're appealing and could still play next Sunday. If not, this would pretty much offset our injuries for this game.
  22. TB losing is pretty big for our wild card hopes if GB takes the division.
  23. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/21119027/jay-cutler-passes-concussion-protocols-to-start-vs-vikings EDIT: Cutler has passed all tests and will start.
  24. I was watching highlight videos of Kaepernick on Youtube earlier and freaking out, although I finally took into consideration the mediocre competition he faced at the college level. Was still impressive though.
