  1. Is that draft date and time solid? If so, I guess I will give this a whirl. Never done anything like it before.
  2. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/7562/larryof.jpg Soto's forlorn response when asked about this provocative snapshot, "I miss cookies."
  3. If you want development time, he's better served in the minors at the moment. And there's absolutely no reason why we can't compete for the division this year. I kind of like how many folks are counting us out. The starting rotation is really my only concern, but if everything breaks just right...
  4. Well, Brett Jackson will win title for most attractive Cub since Mark Derosa.
  5. He's also only played 30 games above A-Ball and doesn't turn 20 til near Opening Day. Unless he's absolutely destroying pitchers, he needs more MiLB time. As excited as I am about Castro, I completely agree. Hold him down unless something goes hay-wire with the second base platoon. At that point, if Castro is rocking in the minors, why not give him a shot and bump Theriot to second?
  6. at least he got his first win last season, amirite!?
  7. I would keep holliday and lester.
  8. Aw, Theriot is beaten and humble.
  9. i live in st. pete...i think i will go by with a starlin castro shirt and pie theriot in the face
  10. This would be supremely grand news! Ted Lilly said Wednesday that his surgically-repaired shoulder feels strong and that he would like to be ready for Opening Day. We're sure the Cubs would like that as well. Lilly underwent arthroscopic surgery on his throwing shoulder in early November and early projections had him missing the first month of the 2010 season. We'll see what kind of progress he makes this spring. The 34-year-old southpaw went 12-9 with a career-best 3.10 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP in 27 starts last year for Chicago. 11. curling is bloody awesome...i want to play!!! that german lady threw a dominating rock to score that last 3!
  12. I have the D'Backs winning more games than the Cubs this year. I don't see the Cubs getting Webb. I wasn't being serious. Even with Webb, Lincecum, and Halladay we would get bounced in the NLDS.
  13. Vitters will have a monster season in the minors. We trade for Webb at the deadline giving up Mr. Vitters plus some other scratch. Afterwards, it is caddy bar the door time. Webb Z Lilly Dempster Wells Playoff rotation of excellence. The WS crown in 11 straight dominating victories of pure Chicago Cubs baseball bliss.
  14. It would be nice if the draft was not held on a Friday or Saturday because I didn't get to live draft in last years NSBB league. And I would like to smack talk and crap during the draft this year.
  15. Update with full league description. 12 Teams. 2 Divisions. 12X12. Offensive Stats - Runs ®, Hits (H), Singles (1B), Doubles (2B), Triples (3B), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Walks (BB), Strikeouts (K), Batting Average (AVG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS) Pitching Stats - Innings Pitched (IP), Wins (W), Losses (L), Saves (SV), Home Runs (HR), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Strikeouts per Nine Innings (K/9), On-base Percentage Against (OBPA), Quality Starts (QS), Blown Saves (BSV) Unlimited Waivers, but a 3 move per week limit. Innings Pitched minimum set at 30. Live Draft on March 22nd, 9pm EST. Date and time are open to negotiation.
  16. i think we will end up trading for downs of frasor from the blue jays
  17. sweet! question about divisions though. this is my first year being a commish and i have never played with divisions. i have a 12 team league with 3 divisions. that should work out alright, or i should i trim it down to 2 divisions?
