    Ehhh... Well I might be able to live with this trade, if we get say 8-10m back, and Silva has to earn a rotation spot going into spring training. But if it's just Bradley for Silva straight up and we don't get money or anything else. Well then this trade sucks for us. i want lopez or morrow [expletive]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Adding to that... Harden was our best pitcher last year. However, he didn't get anywhere near the best results. Replacing his production from last season shouldn't be so terribly difficult. Likewise for Bradley. Provided we don't make any more moves (aside from Bradley for a PTBNL), I'd expect us to win about as many games as we did last season despite replacing Bradley with Fuld and Harden with Gorzelanny/Marshall/Samardzija/Diamond. Seeing what's on the market at this point, I'd start to seriously consider standing pat. We do have prospects close to the majors and the necessary trade chips to make a bigger splash at the deadline, similar to how the Cards started off last season. Can someone help me to understand where this "Harden was our best pitcher last year" thought process is coming from?

    Michael Taylor Will Be Traded For Brett Wallace By Ben Nicholson-Smith [December 15 at 11:04am CST] The Blue Jays will trade outfielder Michael Taylor to the A's for third base prospect Brett Wallace, according to ESPN.com's Buster Olney. The A's acquired Wallace from the Cardinals when they sent Matt Holliday to St. Louis in July. The Jays drafted Wallace in 2005, but he went to college and signed with the Cards as a first rounder in the 2008 draft. The 23-year-old hit .281/.403/.438 in the upper minors for the A's and Cards. Now, THAT is a good move by the Blue Jays!

    I honestly do not understand why this is a 3-team trade as of yet. And for the life of me, I don't know why the Phillies didn't just hang on to Lee and get the picks next offseason. I guess there money was just that tight? Lee's option was for 8 million right? Halladay Lee Hamels Blanton Happ? UNREAL, too bad

    If I were Hendry, Theo Epstein has done everything I would do this offseason. Obviously, the money isn't there for Lackey. However, the Hermida, Bonser, and Cameron signings are top-notch. My Red Sox fan friend called me yesterday all excited, and it bummed me out something awful. Although I am happy for him, days like yesterday make me glad I also am a fan of the Rangers. I don't even know what to hope for from Hendry now. Byrd - do not want Pods - do not want Burrell - do not want Sheets - I better stop thinking about it The only thing I am excited for next season is Starlin Castro.

    My friend, a fan of the Red Sox, thinks that they are going to get Lackey and then flip a package including Bucholz for AGon. I could see it happening, possibly.
