    Well, for one, hitting 3rd doesn't mean what you think it does. What do I think it means? Please, inform me. Nevermind, I'll save you the time. All it means to me is that he is going to theoretically come to the plate more often than Rizzo and Bryant. Also, I should mention that I never said I had any problem with it. I simply asked what the logic behind it was, since it is obviously a bit unconventional.

    You wanted the coaching staff to make him take an 0-1 pitch....in an effort to strike out less? The reason I said "almost" is because I wasn't entirely serious, but yes. Maybe I'm just a psychic, but I was able to successfully predict that second pitch, and I'm sitting here eating pasta directly out of the pot.

    I'm probably one of the bigger Baez supporters left these days, and I certainly need to see a larger sample size than one AB before I form any opinions. But, still... on that particular 0-1 pitch, I almost feel like our coaching staff should have given him the red light. The 3rd base coach should have a sign that means, "They're about to throw you some [expletive]".

    I don't understand. First pitch is a breaking ball on the outside bottom corner. He takes it. I'm sitting here going, "Okay, Javy, now they are going to throw you the same pitch, except off the plate. Everyone knows it. You SHOULD know it. Please don't swing." The next pitch is exactly as expected, and he whiffs at it miserably. Don't AAA pitchers know how to do that? Can't Javy just...... learn?

    I like how Soler has better numbers than Russell basically all across the board, but somehow Russell is a God and Soler should get benched in favor of Austin Jackson?

    My problem with having Schwarber catch part time is that that then means we will need to have another catcher also catching part time, preferably who doesn't suck. Is Montero going to be willing to only catch half our games?

    I am 100% okay with this deal. I was a huge supporter of signing Edmonds, Berkman, Lackey, Liriano, etc. You guys all told me (basically unanimously) that I was a complete idiot. My stance is that people who have done it before will always have at least some chance of regaining "it" and doing "it" again. As long as we don't overpay, I am generally always in favor of buy-low scenarios.

    I hate how disappointed that makes me Remember when Epstein told Zambrano he wasn't going anywhere? can they come up with some bogus 60 day dl for castro if they cant trade him? really wanna see bryant/russell/baez/rizzo They could put him on the 60 day DL for "depleted skills".
