This probably doesn't even do it justice, because a few of them were of the "legitimate" bloop hit variety -- so like a ~50% chance of falling in. But, they are still 65 mph bloop hits that, while they occasionally fall in, are still always [expletive] hits. The average exit velocity on those 10 batted balls was 81.4 mph. Rich Hill has the lowest avg. exit velocity at 83.6 mph, of 119 pitchers that have thrown 1,500 pitches this year.

David and Duker are superstars, the Bryzzo of this board. But even they aren't always right and would likely tell you so. Duke had us winning 117 games and David requested to be woken up for the playoffs because regular season games weren't going to matter. Still, they are likely first ballot Hall of Famers. Just shows you how hard baseball takes can be sometimes. I still mostly request to be woken up for the playoffs, though I took some Ambien and have probably been sleep walking at times. smdh... not getting into the Hall of Fame after admitting to taking performance-enhancing drugs.

He was sent down to the Arizona Fall League and came back to be a WS hero, so clearly, the farther he's sent down, the better he is when he comes back. That's just science. They better hurry up. The Dominican Summer League ends on the 26th.

Also, that was a pretty fun game of baseball -- as was that back-and-forth loss against the Diamondbacks a couple weeks ago. Those have been the two most frustrating losses for me since the break. But at least they were fun to watch. There was nothing fun about the Broken Cubs. The Broken Cubs were sloppy, sad, and boring. I haven't been bored by this team in a while.
