He had a .744 OPS on July 24. He's been awful since then, though. He was putting up at least a semi-respectable season after re-working his swing. But, now he's fallen into his old habits and he's as bad as he was last year. Just a blip in the anchor that will be his contract. Maybe. I think there's still a possibility he can get fixed. I'm not counting on it or anything. But we saw signs of it this year. Last year, his season high in OPS was .682. It was never higher at any point in the year. He was awful from Day 1. At least this year, he wasn't a complete black hole for the whole season. He might not have been great or anything, but his OPS was well over .700 for most of the season. So, there's something in there. He could be more than an anchor. It doesn't matter now, though, because he's in the same shape he was at this point last year. There is no hope for him the rest of this year, for sure. He's horsefeathering done.
