    Tulo probably figures to start. However, Reyes was replaced by Sandoval, leaving Starlin as the only other shortstop on the NL roster, so it's all Starlin once Tulo gets pulled. Watching Sandoval try and play shortstop would be kinda fun, though. That's right, I thought Tulo was also hurt and missing the game. That makes sense he's starting then. I wonder if Starlin will get any time in the field, or if they will leave Tulo in the whole game and use Starlin as a PH for the pitcher or as a pinch runner?

    Is it me or does it seem Soriano has had crazy good plate discipline lately?

    Soriano has a .831 OPS in 4 1/2 years and has hit 20 or more HR every year and 30 HR once in his time with the Cubs. He should come close to 30 HR this year and have a OPS over .800 again. While his contract is an albatross, those aren't horrible numbers and it's not easy to replace an .800+ OPS and 20+ HR a year. Last year there were only 16 OF in all of baseball with a OPS higher than .831

    I think the only way that happens if we extend him 3-4 years for like $12-13m per year. Even then I think there has to be someone who will offer him $15m+ a year for the same amount of years.

    I don't know how this will end, but I hope MLB will seriously allow Cuban to be a serious buyer/bidder. Bringing in/approving a guy with his status might allow this thing to get moving faster.

    The NBA is rigged and needs LA to be good??????? Plus someone needs to be blamed for the Lakers not making the finals this season? IDK, it's all I got.

    Could 2B ever be a possibility? He's listed at 6'2'' 200lbs. That's roughly the size of guys like Phillips and Utley. He would never have to develop the 30+ HR power potential, more like 15-20 HR at 2B to still be an asset offensively.

    Or how he has only gotten to the free throw line like 16 times in 5 games. He should be getting there 8-10 times a game minimum.

Don't just say hey, you missed x month's so you're a bullpen pitcher now because that is all the stamina you have. Go sit in the ML bullpen and pitch 1 inning every 3-4 days.

    Yea I don't see this as a huge issue. MLB had to approve the sale, so they knew the debt/equity structure that Ricketts and his group had to buy it from the Tribune/Zell. Like it's been mentioned with the amount of debt needed to secure the sale MLB has to know that the Cubs would be in this position for at least a year. However with earnings likely down this year (lower attendance/concession/memorabilia sales/etc.) I wonder how, if at all, it affects the Ricketts plan long term to handle the debt?

    When are the Twins going to move Mauer of off Catcher to a less physically demanding position like 3B/LF/RF?
