  1. It might be to far out to know/predict, but does Garza project to be a Type A FA at the end of next season?
  2. Fonzie Bomb! He's had a fantastic season.
  3. Ryan Howard's season ended on a fluke play/mishap/injury again this year. Apparently he dropped the big lead pipe he swings in the on deck circle on his foot and broke his toe.
  4. Just traded Brady, Marshall, and Sproles for Eli and AP. First year 10-team standard keeper league, already have RGIII as my QB and needed another RB. Before the trade I had McFadden, Sproles, Greene and Tate at RB, WR were Harvin, Marshall, Malcom Floyd, Mike Williams and Andre Hawkins. So I felt I could lose Marshall and go with Harvin every week then play matchups with the other 3 guys. Eli for Brady is pretty even, IMO and with RGIII it's a pretty lateral move.
  5. I believe it was in Miami that him getting hit in the head happened, no? Also it's the [expletive] Marlins they hired Ozzie to be their manager, Loria is their owner and they have a HR celebration statue that makes a disney attraction look toned pretty bland.
  6. Excellent news!!!!!!! :good: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8433232/nba-finalizing-procedures-penalize-players-flopping
  7. WHAAA???? Deadspin almost certainly nailed it on the head: And of course one of the commenters also hits it on the head: Isn't the prevalent rumor that Scottie helped get Jordan hooked on white women and away from his wife?
  8. RBI's/fewest strikeouts, fewest errors/most web gems, ground balls and/or throws beaten out at first/extra bases taken on pure hustle.
  9. Rizzo also had a BB earlier and Jackson had a RBI single. Man, these guys know who to productively lose!
  10. Brewers just got the KO punch. Axford blew the save in the 9th of a 1-0 game. Gave up a solo HR to Frazier to tie it and a walk off triple to Dioner Navarro. I had no idea Navarro was still in the leauge, nonetheless on the Reds and also he's only 28!?!
  11. You're right using something more like "MIGUEL CABRERA HAS 42% MORE RBI'S THAN TROUT." Now that's something they would get and where numbers make sense to them. BTW, Cabrera has 133 RBI Trout has 77 so that's roughly 42% more.
  12. i don't really think you can say miguel cabrera winning the mvp is a joke. he's pretty [expletive] awesome. It's not a huge joke if he wins, Trout is having a better year but Cabrera is having a good-great year also. But the reasoning for voting for him that these [expletive] idiot writers are using is the huge [expletive] joke.
  13. The Astros will still be very, very bad next season. Also we will (assuming health/no trades) have Samardzija and Garza for most, if not all, of the year next year. So that's our 1-2 punch. A loss today I think pretty much secures the #2 pick for us considering we own the tiebreaker with the Rockies for the #2 pick if we end with the same record.
  14. The BBWAA is literally a collection of some of the most simple-minded, ignorant and moronic people in America. This I am sure of.
  15. Being named the Pitcher of The Year in the Cubs Minor League System this year is like being the smartest kid in remedial classes
  16. Yes. Unless you are in like a 16+ team league defenses aren't all that valuable as you can play matchups to an extent each week so you probably maximized the Cards value here. Benson looks incredibly average and Jennings is Rodgers best or second best option on an offense that should improve over the first 3 weeks as they faced probably 3 of the top 5-7 defenses in the leauge.
  17. All of this talk of betting reminded me, didn't there use to be a pick em' pool/thread on here for NFL games for all the posters to pick games each week?
  18. Other than Samardzija (28) and Wood (24) no other pitchers made as many starts for the Cubs this year as Maholm (20). So yeah other than Wins being an awful [expletive] stat Maholm got the 3rd most amount of chances of the starters to get a win this year.
  19. [-X
  20. Yikes. I don't like it. You should of at least gotten someone in the Michael Turner, Frank Gore, Ryan Mathews category (ie guys that are somewhere in the 10-12 running back rankings) for just Green. If you were willing to give up Green+ another one of your WR and Tate you shouldn't have done a trade for anything less than one of the potential top backs (AP, Murray, Forte, McFadden, McCoy, Rice, Foster, MJD etc.) and just taken some junk back to fill out the rosters.
  21. I really like NE -4 @ Buf. Opened -6 a lot of places I saw.
  22. Not even close??? He might not go 30+ HR and .820+ OPS, but assuming he plays 150 games +/- again he'd probably get close to where he is now. He's not putting up any real outlier numbers with BABIP, LD%, HR/FB%, BB%, K%, etc. this season, they are all in line with his career norms by 2-3% so significant regression shouldn't be expected if he's healthy. I expect him to at least hit 25HR with a .780-.820 OPS next year.
  23. If the Dave Sappelt bandwagon crashes and nobody is around to hear it, does it still make a sound?
