I voted for Glanville. But I also kind of like Orel Hershiser too, I wouldn't mind him if he had interest. I think he does a good job on ESPN. -

I'm just expecting the Cardinals to make the Tigers look like complete children in some facet of the game and win in at least 5 games, if not 4.

Did anyone root for Neifi in 2006 Nobody rooted for Neifi in 2006 because he sucked as a baseball player and had a manager that continually played him nearly everyday. Not rooting for Gomes is based on his douchebagery more than anything he would/will do on the field.

I'll play. Brian Schneider for the LH catcher? Otherwise you just roll the dice on Clevenger filling the role. Can Ty Wigginton play any 2B a little and fill the role of Valbuena's platoon partner? Probably too awful defensively. I think that Baker guy is available. CF is especially tricky if they legitimately still think Jackson is the guy in another year. Pagan or Victorino might be options, but I kind of expect DeJesus to be there on opening day. Yeah that's not a lot ot work with on the platoon route unless they achieve a lot of it via trade. Is Brian Schneider even in the league anymore???

Is it known that Wood wants/prefers to be involved in broadcasting in some capacity with the Cubs at some point? Or does he want/prefer to be involved in something else with the organization (coaching, FO, player development, etc.)? -

I wouldn't mind any of Sutcliffe, Glanville, Wood (top choice but I bet he waits a few years to get into something like this, or Orel Hershiser (haven't seen him mentioned on here yet, but I like him from the 15 or so games a year I see him on ESPN a year) -
