    Shaq trade? At the time didn't it look like they were getting pennies on the dollar? Odom wasn't considered that good nor as valuable as he would turn out to be for them and they did get Bynum with the #10 pick they acquired but a #10 pick isn't that valuable and they got lucky with the pick/turning Bynum into Dwight.

    Looks like Andrew Bynum is out the rest of the year. Has swelling in his kee(s). Will be interesting to see what happens to him as a FA this offseason.

    Isn't the IFA market considered pretty shitty this year? Might be worth spending the money on him if there aren't a lot of guys that look to be quality prospects.

    ESPN just did their future rank of MLB franchises, it's insider info so anyone who has it can you post where the Cubs are/what they say. Thanks. I think Law has a pretty big role in it so there might be some okay stuff included.

    Those look like knock off Cubs jersey's you can buy from those Chinese sites and/or Wal-Mart for $3. I really like the pinstripe look, but if they want to get rid of them and go all white they better do better than those.

    I still don't understand why Dekker isn't starting over Evans and/or isn't seen significantly more minutes than him once he comes in off the bench.

    Yeah, let him sit until after the WBC. He probably can do some light hitting/throwing drills until he comes back to fielding/running/playing in full games.

    June 11th is the date to push B. Jackson's clock back a year according to AZPhil. Also we fucked up with Castillo and Wood last year and some simple moves would have given us an extra year of control for each.

    I'm still intrigued with his pitching potential, especially now that he's 6'5". If he can't figure it out offensively over the next 1 1/2-2 years between AAA/MLB I hope they move him to the mound then. I think he will stick as a position/utility player though.

    He has to learn to take pitches, but as is, he's a really nice trade chip. I wouldn't be surprised if he's ahead of Vitters for the first guy up from AAA to play 3B if/when Steart/Valbuena get hurt or aren't playing well. I like his potential to be a supersub type guy for us as soon as sometime this year.

    That's pretty bold. Actually if all those came true I'd be disappointed with 78 wins. Yea, I was about to say, I don't think anyone has a 1.000+ OPS these days. And when they do, there aren't very many of them. I meant to say .900... But still yes, not many even OPS that anymore. Forgot to carry the 9? Something like that. $2mm a game, for 10 games is like $210mm
