    I think the coaches/FO might have some familiarity with Hall. Svuem was with Milwaukee when he was there and I think Theo was the GM of the Red Sox when they signed or traded for him. Whether that's good or bad, idk.

    Is it really that big of an insult? That's probably his fair/open market value, especially with quite a few decent LB still available in FA.

    I'm going to have to call hyperbole on this one. One of the best values from late in the draft? Fine. One of the Cubs' best draft picks ever? Whatever, Phil. I'm kind of curious who the best Cubs draft picks ever actually are. Maddux is surely No. 1. Grace, Carter, Palmeiro. Anyone else of note? Prior was still a good pick, imo and one of the better ones in our lame history of picks (especially over the last 10-15 years).

    Yeah, lets use a teams w/l record in DIII baseball and attribute it to one player and use it to validate a guys worth as a prospect. I'm not going to get excited about Saunders until he shows he can put up good numbers without an incredibly inflated and unsustainable BABIP. His k% also increased with every move up last year along with his BB% rate decreasing. Side note, I bet Rogers thinks a slash line is an advanced sabermetrics metric.

    I really hope a come back liner hits the flat brim part of Fernando Rondey's hat this year and takes it into the OF with it and he isn't able to ever record a save again.

    I think there is some rule that you can't play NCAA Tournament games and NIT games at the same site, in the same year. Even if the scheduling of games don't overlap.

    How much ownership do the Ricketts have in Wrigley field? All of it, or just majority? That also plays a role here, with a move they are likely stuck with a near non-performing asset. Unless they feel like they could add a bunch more concerts, NCAA football games and HS/College baseball games (which I doubt those baseball games would add a ton of revenue) and I'm guessing Tunney/Neighborhood wouldn't be wild about allowing that much more stuff there if they move. Just a thought.

    I have 5 BIG teams in the sweet 16 (Indiana, Wisconsin, MSU, OSU, Michigan) and 2 in the elite 8 (Indiana, MSU) and none in the final 4 (I have Louisville, Florida, Miami, and New Mexico with Louisville beating Florida in the championship). I have all the BIG teams winning in the first round though.

    Is there anyone who has scouted/seen Bryant play that think he can stick at 3B? If so my top 5 right now would probably be Appel, Bryant, Gray, Manaea, and Fraizer

    That's what my final is too. Had New Mexico and Miami as my other final 4 teams. Biggest upset seed wise are Bellmont over Arizona and Bucknell over Butler. I'm tempted to pick Pitt over Gonzaga in the 2nd round but don't have it currently.
