  1. I would think if it remains a save situation Marmol is coming in
  2. Oh my [expletive] god Lillibridge not only looks like a prepubescent boy but he throws like one too. I never thought I'd miss Barney this much.
  3. END THE SEASON NOW. It's only downhill from here
  4.
  5. If only we still had Lahair as some trade fodder, wouldn't even need to bring Castro in this conversation.
  6. That's crazy. Where is he gonna play? They have Victorino and Ellsbury already not hitting for any power in that outfield. I can't imagine him being up without getting major at bats. My guess is he gets strong side of a platoon, with Gomes taking the small side. Their OF is versatile, they'll move some guys(not Gomes) into different spots when necessary. I think Gomes is starting the year on the DL and that played a pretty big role in the decision to start him with the MLB team.
  7. It's too bad Lake got hurt, I personally think he needs some more time, but would have been interesting to see what he could do given the opportunity to be the super utility guy for the first 2-3 weeks until Barney came back.
  8. Those hesitant on trading Baez for Harper because of "potential" you are aware Harper and Baez are virtually the same age, right?. Harper is like 1.5 months older than Baez. He has 3/4 year in MLB already, Baez won't even have 3/4 year in AA after this year. You trade Baez and any other combination of prospects all day for Harper and don't even think what his/their potential "could be." I get being hesitant giving up Castro +Baez and Soler/Almora, because of Castro but the minor leaguers I don't even hesitate on.
  9. I think Syracuse would beat Michigan and think Florida would beat Syracuse.
  10. I want that shirt
  11. 6'8" 230 is [expletive] massive for a prep arm
  12. Law chat going on right now. He answered my question on Bryant \:D/ Few Cubs related ones
  13. You can display a LOT of ads and signs in 3+ hours. And those ads are limited to the 30,000 sets of eyeballs in the stadium. Are they more valuable than the fixed ads attached to the jumbotron that are seen by all in attendance plus every viewer on television, including highlights and still photos? No, they aren't as valuable as the fixed ones. But even with a jumbotron the fixed ones remain and a jumbotron opens up the revenue stream of revolving/temporary (whatever you want to call them) ads that can bring the Cubs revenue they don't even have the ability to access right now. Like I stated in my posts it opens the possiblity to let more companies in on advertising in Wrigley that can't afford a season long fixed board/ad but can afford some revolving ads for the season or a few months or something.
  14. What? I'm assuming you've seen a baseball game in a modern stadium with a jumbotron. Every half inning they are changing sponsor logos on the board and have the dumb kiss cam/racing games/guess attendance stuff brought to you by "insert company xyz." They are going to be able to offer a lot of different levels of ad space to a lot of different companies that they can't currently do because all they have are fixed ads (which I would imagine price a lot of companies out due to the fact they are paying to be there the whole year and not every 7th inning on a Thursday or something).
  15. For as great as it was to see The Heat lose last night and Lebron lose his cool and complain, there still isn't a team that can beat them in a 7 game series come playoff time. I don't think the just crush LBJ everytime he gets to the lane is a strategy that will net you 4 wins in a series, might get you 1 or 2, unless you actually hurt him. Plus you know with these comments he's put the league on notice and he will likely get even more calls now and probably even get a few more intentionals drawn on guys.
  16. Yeah, sometimes during the first weekish there are some bugs. Probably due to higher usage and you can run into some lag, games freezing momentarily, shifting from HD/SD for a few seconds. But overall it works great and by the 2nd-3rd week those issues go away (unless you have computer/connection problems). Also usually whatever new feature(s) they introduce every year they have issues with during the first weekish like the mosaic thing they introduced a few years ago and being able to select the home/road broadcast doesn't always work early on. It's worth the money right away, though, and worth dealing with some minor issues during the first weekish of the season.
  17. That's more than enough. What are you primarily going to be using it through? Computer/PS3/Portable device? I've used it through both PS3/PC/Mac and really have had few problems, I've been using it since it started in 2006 too.
  18. As long as you have a fast and strong enough internet connection games come in HD quality.
  19. Artest is out 6 weeks with knee surgery. The Lakers are in trouble to hold onto the 8 spot with the Mavs getting hot down the stretch. Nash/Kobe/Artest/Gasol/Howard couldn't have started more than 15 games together all year with how the injuries have fallen (though I don't know the exact number).
  20. Congrats to Starlin.
  21. Anything less than 6,000 sq. ft. would distort the giant middle finger of theo and the Ricketts family mooning the rooftop owners on the outward facing part of the scoreboard.
