    Sox extend Sale. I don't like extending him now when they had him under control for 2 more years seems like he is considerable injury risk as he had elbow issues last year despite putting up good numbers. Either way seems like a decent framework for a new Samardzija contract.

    At least age 23 and he has to have played three seasons in Cuban professional leagues (it's five years for players coming from the NPB or KBO). When does Abreu become available? Badler was really talking him up too. He's already 26 so whenever he wants to/is able to defect. Usually defecting stuff is kept pretty quiet, as some have talked about on here, so it's entirely possible he's in the process of defecting right now. Makes sense, given that Badler said he could step right into the majors. I have to think the bidding would be right around Cespedes. Hopefully the Cubs wouldn't let him go this time. He's a 1B so unless we plan on moving Rizzo or he can play OF/3B I doubt we'd have a ton of interest. He seems pretty athletic, or at least athletic enough, that he should be able to be passable in the OF. I have no idea if he has any experience playing a something other than 1B or if he'd even be open to a change, however.

    Where is he expected to go? Top 5, 10? Or is he not that good of a prospect? I've only heard his name a few times and don't know anything about him.

I had such high hopes for that MLBN and that it would be the anti ESPN/BBTN but instead they have just copied their style and have molded all of their shows after them. I don't watch anything on MLBN except for when they broadcast games and the draft.

    It'll be best records vs each other on down So Wisconsin would win it if they beat MSU if they all finish 13-5 and IND would win it if MSU beats WIS. Below would be the head to head records if they were to tie (taking into account a MICH win over IND and what MSU/WIS final H2H record would be with a win Thurs, obviously only one can end up tied). IND 4-3 MICH 4-4 MSU 3-4 OSU 4-4 WIS 4-2

    Aren't they going to try and turn Cabrera into a starter this year? Unless the Cubs are in serious contention, and absolutely need an internal bullpen arm, I doubt they circumvent the plans to turn him into a starter to get him into the bullpen this year.

    yeah, that's not surprising. he's going to miss rodgers a lot. Agreed, the Packers weren't going to give him $10-12mm+ a year. He'd be an interesing option for the Patriots taking Welker's spot, imo.
