  1. Bud Norris 2.1IP 4H 5ER 1BB 2SO 2HR and he left with an injury
  2. Place holder until he needs to go in the #NotAllPitchers thread
  3. The Brewers announced the same thing recently. Amazing.
  4. Young played 30 games at SS in AAA last year. Freeman is organizational fodder so who gives a horsefeathers about him or if he’s being forced to a different spot. Young has a slight future as a utility player so getting him some reps at non-2B positions (especially SS) is huge for his future. He also has played some OF in the minors, fwiw.
  5. Happ DONG, right handed this time. He also hit the ball really hard his first time up but it was an out.
  6. You should pick only Brewers, Cardinals, Nationals and Dodgers to be safe
  7. Agree. Should’ve been Joe playing spin the bottle with an empty wine bottle he just chugged
  8. Joe confirmed today. Rotation is Lester/Hendricks/Yu/Q/Chatwood
  9. Honestly, I feel like his issues were all mental but i could be wrong. They said they identified something(s) and were working on it. One of them was he was pulling the ball out of his glove earlier with us last year in his windup/stretch than he was with Detroit and they think that caused some wildness.
  10. Grimm seems to of picked up right where he left off, 1IP 1H 1SO 1HR
  11. Anybody able to watch the game or see any clips online of Wilson throwing? I wonder if the changes they say he's made/working on are noticeable.
  12. Jim Hickey, miracle worker

  14. Oklahoma and Trae Young (to a lesser extent) STINK!

  16. Lincecum got a major league deal with the Rangers and they intend for him to be their closer, apparently
  17. I’m ready to overreact and say go Happ/Almora leadoff vs RHP/LHP
  18. I think they are back to the point of the cycle, since it’s ST and nobody has died yet, that they’ve talked themselves in to all their starters making it for 30+ starts and 200+ innings and if that happens look out!
  19. #LOLMETS
  20. Why the hell did the BIG move their tournament a week early other than they really wanted to play in MSG and it was already booked for the Big East for the normal weekend? They can’t really be making more money, can they? Chicago or Indy or wherever would sell just as many tickets and they already had games aired on CBS and always had their championship game being the lead in game on CBS to the selection show. Seems odd to me to move it because it was “cool” to play in MSG. But yes overall I’m very excited for the tournament in 2 weeks.
  21. Looking forward to see who all of the other #4's Darvish will be facing all year. LOL. I’d venture to guess it doesn’t work that way over the course of a year. Every pitcher probably faces around the same amount of other teams 1, 2, 3, 4, 5+ starters given off days, injuries, rotation shuffled around, etc. Just because Lester is our “#1” starter doesn’t meant he’s going to face more #1s or staff aces than anyone else in the rotation throughout the year. He’ll face just as many back of rotation guys as he will Scherzer’s, Kershaws, C-Marts, Syndergaards, etc.
  22. Lester named Opening Day starter, I don't know if it's sourced or a guess (they didn't link a report or tweet or anything) but Cubs Insider says the rotation will be Lester, Hendricks, Darvish, Quintana, Chatwood. I know some people get worked up over it but it's whatever for me, only thing I wanted to see what Lester and Quintana broken up since they are most similar.
  23. Minor league AAAA SS depth. He was up last year for a week or so, he started at SS on Labor Day in Pittsburgh when Jake wrecked his hamstring.
  24. I thought the A’s stopped receiving revenue sharing money?
