  1. Lol. One golf podcast I listen to said he was suppose to be in Florida this week for some pro-am/charity type event and he canceled last minute because of negotiations and he’s played in it for like a decade. So at least we know he’s miserable.
  2. Yup mine too Maybe just because it’s March 1st? The books aren’t dumb and usually really know things, maybe it was a default setting that all that dropped overnight. But I take more as an indication they know we are getting 162 games if they’re putting out odds on all this stuff.
  3. All of the MLB futures (division, league, World Series, MVP, ROY, leaders at whatever HRs, RBI, wins, etc) just showed up on my betting app outside of win totals, that’s very interesting.
  4. It pains me to say and even realize it it, but I just don’t care anymore about baseball. horsefeathers em all
  5. FYI, go make sure you cancel/unsubscribe
  6. Anytime Jesse horsefeathering Rogers is a source I’m dubious to the credibility of the report.
  7. Yes. And before that he used the same exact playbook with the Expos and Montreal told him to piss off (but in French). He’s one of the biggest horsefeathers in baseball history He was also gifted the Marlins because he was buddies with Selig (who’s an absolute piece of horsefeathers) when he sold or whatever he did to Lerner to make the Expos in to the Nationals.
  8. That braves statement is interesting. They have “development revenue” of 42 million and 72 million of depreciation and amortization. I wonder what our books look like with all the ventures they’ve taken up with the renovations and development around the stadium and the amount of debt they took on.
  9. I still think there’s no real fix to “tanking.” The Pirates and other teams are still going to run smaller payrolls, big market teams will have years where they hit the end of a life cycle and have down years but still spend, teams will spend a lot and try to win but things will go wrong and they end bottom 5 or whatever. Baseball is hard and there’s going to still be shitty teams. The idea that every team will be “competitive” and between like 77-88 wins is untenable. And even if it is a 162 game season becomes less fun to watch or follow if you know every team is going to be in it at the end and it isn’t worth watching until late august or September . That being said I do like the idea of a draft pool lottery, whether it’s bottom 4 teams or all the teams that miss playoffs or wherever they land.
  10. Well Phil and the Saudis seem dead. Good for Rory and the rest of the guys who came out this week. Guessing since all 10 of the top 10 were at the Riv this week there were some meetings, plus Tiger was there, to kill this nonsense.
  11. Lol, Jesus Christ Phil. Idk what he’s trying to do. Blast a dangerous country you’re about to maybe partner with then admit you’re trying to leverage them for PGA gain and might not even care about them. The No Laying Up guys did a pod recently where they basically debunked all his claims about the PGA withholding money, sitting on money, not paying enough to players, etc and the crazy valuation (believe it was $20 billion) he put on the media rights. He’s wrong about everything and some of them use to work for PGA/have legal and finance/accounting backgrounds and the PGA is a non for profit so their books are public. $20 billion is probably his valuation of the NFT market and the traditional media market which Phil wants a part of. The PGA Tour is working with the players to give them a cut of NFTs. The Tour has responded to Phil with a NFT cut and increasing purses and the Player Impact Program. He’s made a dent and got some of what he wants, so why would he leave? Were the comments released today Phil’s way of backing out of the SGL? Something else I learned that PGA Tour players are getting a retirement program that is roughly half of their winnings. It’s the best plan in sports. Phil can’t complain that the PGA Tour isn’t giving the players enough money when the players have requested 50% to be withheld until they retire. $20 Bil is still an insane valuation, NFTs or not and is putting some crazy multipliers on future value. The PGA isn’t clean here but they’ve given in on the PIP thing, which Phil won last year. I do wonder if Phil is trying to pull out but get one last grab from the PGA. Their retirement plan is world class. Plus they are given such great access to all sorts of sponsorship/promotion deals.
  12. what a take to make public...getting dubya vibes Lol, Jesus Christ Phil. Idk what he’s trying to do. 13. horsefeathers em all. Seems like it’s all mostly old guys like Phil, Kokrak, Hoffman, Poulter, Westwood, Stenson, etc. Bryson, DJ and Ancer are the only younger guys they might get. The league is going to be a disaster and nobody will watch or care.
  14. horsefeathers these pricks trying to pull this horsefeathers as an excuse to go join the Saudi blood money league.
  15. horsefeathers “strategy” there really isn’t much of it and pitchers hitting (or potentially hitting) is dumb.
  16. If Simmons can just be his normal, flawed, self (let alone maybe have something click yet). You can do some dynamic things with Simmons and Durant on offense and defense.
  17. Because I'm pretty much assuming Wisdom will fail, Villar slides over to 3B and Hoerner plays the most SS. That defense would still be terrible, imo. I’d be more inclined to punt offense at SS and sign a Simmons or Iglesias and go with defense and lean in to the strengths with the pitching we have and shift Nico to 2B and try Madrigal in the OF. This is of course assuming we aren’t getting Correa or Story.
  18. I think Kelly Olynik would be a decent, low level/cost move for the Bulls if they aren’t going to go and trade and major assets. Probably could get him for a extremely protected pick or swap and some roster filler for contract match. I also don’t mind the Blazers flipping CJ for Hart, I think Hart has another level and honestly think he might be the better bet/player over the next 5 years or so taking contracts in to account.
  19. Villar at SS with the SP profile of the team would be a complete horsefeathering disaster, imo. I don’t get why he’s being talked about so much with us. He’s a butcher in the field.
  20. Bringing in a mediator probably isn’t the worst thing. Obviously means they have gaps on points but getting a mediator in there probably helps push them to some sort of agreement and puts some pressure/time frame on doing things/forces them to engage. Instead of talking past each other/just disagreeing face to face at least have someone in the middle to corral things.
  21. A 12 team playoff is the worst
