    I think this really was the year to have the kids play, but it obviously didnt turn out that way. The whole question is kinda pointless, though, since Dusty will still be our manager next year.

    Its just that he seems to pull the race card in every article he writes.

    I really think the writers are told to stir things up. Simmons' article about Reggie Miller not being a superstar was made for that exact reason.

    Scoop Jackson is a racist. Im not kidding. He hates white peope and always mentions something in every single damn article about how blacks are treated unfairly. Its repetitive and just inappropriate most of the time. He doesnt seem to realize that people say bad stuff about specific black athletes and managers because its true. It has nothing to do with skin color. But he always seems to think it does. Stupid article. Stupid man. I honestly believe that Jay Mariotti is the better writer. Jackson should be fired for pure stupidity as well as continuing to say everybody is racist when, in fact, he is the one being racist.

    Need to start sweeping some good teams or we might as well tank the year.

    I didnt expect him to hit 300 or even .280, but .224 is/was way below my expectations. Something is really wrong with him, but I am sure rooting for him. When normal, he is by far our best outfielder at the plate and in the field. We need him back to normal or else, if you hadnt already, you can kiss the season goodbye. One positive thing from AAA is, though, that Corey was being aggresive on the base paths and stealing bases. We need some of that.

    High School or elsewhere? If its high school, it seems to largely depend on what state you live in. Were you in one on those sports-crazy places or somewhere like South Dakota?

    1) I dont know. Id probably do the same thing in their situation. Anything to throw off the opposing team....theres a limit which Ill explain in a second. 2) Surprisingly, even in a HS situation, when you have a ball-hog or someone who is just plain arrogant, the fans let him/her have it and sometimes rightly so. I remember one person in particular went something like 2 for 14 from three point range and he got some heat especially from the student section. I do have a limit, though. Threatening a player or his family/friends is way beyond the line even in jest. Also, throwing objects at a player not matter how soft is wrong. I will admit, though, that I wasnt entirely displeased to see J.D. Drew pelted.

    Has anyone here ever played high school or college sports? Seriously, I really dont think a lot of you have. I have had tons worse things said/chanted to me than "___ sucks" They talk about your mother, father, sister, etc...Did/do I get upset no? It just motivates me to kick their teams' butt....Guys like Hawkins and some of you board members seem to be very mentally fragile if you cant stand "boo" or "sucks" .... Its actually kinda pathetic that a millionaire athlete gets upset. I dont get payed and get equal/worse treatment even closer up and yet I dont go crying to the media or my mom about it. You move on and get motivated by it. If you cant, you're just not a strong person and not a very good professional athlete.

    1) From what you've seen, do you think Felix Pie will end up being a top of the order hitter or middle of the order? 2) Whats your goal as a baseball manager? Where would you like to be in 10 years? I know that sounds cliche, but just curious whether you would want to coach at a higher level....I think you know what I am hinting at.

    Im with IMB!. I thought managers always played "the hot hand" and the hot hand certainly is not freakin Todd Hollandsworth. Murton is hot. Play him.
