    I loved Sammy, but he was really just a mistake hitter. He didnt go out and hit good pitches like Vlad Guerrero, so hes going to struggle when the best pitchers in the world come to town. That being said, there was time that if you made a slight mistake against Sammy, he would hammer it better than anyone in the game.

    Clemens: 7 W Carpenter: 13 W Its stuff like this why I really dislike having other teams fans on this board. I dont want to bother dealing with homerism from other teams much less the Cubs. Chicagocardfan, you just dont get it. Everyone (95%) besides Card fans agree that Clemens should start. Carpenter is a great pitcher, no doubt, but just doesnt have the stats. You could even argue that Willis should start ahead: a) lower era b) same # of wins.

    :roll: Jesus. How many Card fans are on here lately? Dont you guys have your own place? The NL shortstops are terribly weak and Nomar would actually really win it easily. Its not something to roll your eyes over. Eckstein's a little scrappy guy and i like him a lot, buts he not an all-star.

    Great post! (seen a number of good posts lately!:) ). I would have to strongly think about Kearns for Hill straight up. The guys seem to be going in opposite directions. Kearns has hit a wall while Hill has developed into a legitimate stud prospect.

    Great post Tim! I dont think I would even do Pie for Dunn straight up...wait, er actually maybe. I dont know, maybe. Im just not all into high K, low AVG, but HR guys.

    Because they're Cardinal and Sox players, or because you don't think they're flashy like Pedro and Clemens? Partly, but do you honestly believe that Clemens doesnt deserve to be the starter? He is having the best year. I hate him, but he should be the NL starter. The guys pretty much deserve it (not really Carpenter...), I just hate seeing unsexy matchups who are having career years. It just kinda adds to the whole boringness (not a word) of the game.

    NO WAY! Joe Morgan is a god and is always right! It was Phil Rogers they are talking about. Oh, I assumed Morgan cause of that article he wrote a couple days ago. Its a classic, youll probably start laughing out loud.

    me 2 unfortunately I doubt a loss today would do anything. Bruce Miles seemed pretty sure that the organization had no plans on firing baker anytime in the forseeable future. I dont think Jim will have much of a choice if we end up the year 5-15 games under 500.
