  1. I think the Royals did all last year, or maybe the only Royals game I watched all year was their home opener game. They aren't important enough to remember. Every Friday home game.
  2. Yeah, I can't imagine they were crying over the Cubs tanking when the Cubs were, you know, tanking. It was fine when they sucked on purpose until that netted positive results later I specifically remember Cardinals fans (and announcers) making fun of the Cubs for trading away 40% of their rotation every year.
  3. Don't feel too bad. I watch the Royals almost as much as the Cubs. Doesn't he kinda have a few variants of the Cutter too? Yes it gets classified as an overall Cutter but he'll change speeds on it a bit and sometimes make it move more laterally (cut more) or vertically (drop more)? So it's one pitch but has 2-4 different versions of it? Yeah. It's not the same movement each time he throws it. Looking forward to listening to Len and JD talk about it because all Rex Hudler did during Royals broadcasts was try really hard to come up with stupid catch phrases. "Wader, check please!"
  4. When he's on the cutter is unhittable and he doesn't need another pitch. Also looking at the pitch values on fangraphs, it appears to be a great pitch. Don't mind me. Don't feel too bad. I watch the Royals almost as much as the Cubs.
  5. I wonder what affects that will have on pitchers warming in 72 degree weather and then coming out to pitch in 40 degree weather.
  6. I'm officially pumped for that banner raising now.
  7. Andrelton Simmons just made a tag play that would make Javy blush. It was insane. [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. 665-1 directv now does not have channel numbers I'm so confused as my DirecTV has channel numbers and that's the channel number that was showing the Cubs tonight.
  9. I'm looking forward to returning to Wrigley just so we can have a normal, over the pitchers' right shoulder camera shot.
  10. Not to beat a dead horse, but putting it another way I'm more encouraged about our prospects of winning more games out of the next 158 due to how good the bullpen has looked than I am worried about the 2 games we've already lost. Reasons: 1. I'm pretty sure we win the division no matter what, so I'm looking more at how strong the team will be in the postseason. 2. I know we're going to score tons of runs this year. I'm not going to worry about the main reason we have lost those 2 games - lack of offense.
  11. Well, that's pretty annoying as the only quality pitch sequences the last 2 innings by the Brewers has been to Bryant and Zobrist.
  12. I honestly think I'd rather be 2-2 with this bullpen performing as well as it has opposed to 4-0 because we donged the other teams into submission. Normally I would say that's crazy talk, but there are so many guys with huge upside but big question marks in that bullpen. They've pretty much all looked great to this point.
  13. I'm concerned about the mental health of this Brewers pitcher. He looks like a serial killer.
  14. Is the CSN feed cutting out every now and then for everybody? Watching on DIRECTV.
  15. Ok. It's confirmed that it's possible for me to get pissed at the defending world champion Cubs and their WS MVP.
  16. I'm a season ticket holder, but apparently I'm also spot 32,175... I haven't received a line status update since I bought mine for the first time 5+ years ago.
