Impossible to wrap it up Monday. Brewers are off. Best case scenario after Monday is. Magic number 1 on Brewers 0 on Cardinals. Ah. That's right.

Would be nice to wrap this up Monday or Tuesday at Busch and then eliminate the Cardinals from WC2 on Thursday.

I thought the keyword in the initial post was "tad." Like a win today (or tomorrow) meant even getting swept in St Louis probably doesn't cost us the division and winning just 1 would all but lock it up. I understand numbers. I would not say that I am the least bit worried that we don't win the division, but sometimes the worst team in baseball sweeps the best team in baseball. I actually just wish we weren't playing them as that would "greatly" increase our odds. From like 98% to 99.5% or something.

Nationals tanking to decrease their odds of facing the Cubs in the postseason. Won't work.

I watch games on DIRECTV Extra Innings. I think I likely get different commercials because this year I no longer get any local Chicago commercials and the formatting of the screen is all messsed up. Anyway, every commercial is a PSA about kids dying, people overdosing, homeless/injured veterans, etc. It really makes watching the games quite depressing.

Wish I could hear this. My brother who is stuck living in St Louis was saying the same thing. -
They're also both in weak divisions which helps. Still wouldn't be surprised to see both teams hosting Game 1 of the NLDS/ALDS though.
