    Thanks. I actually had a scan show complete remission a few weeks back. However, being a blood cancer they are using radiation to make sure they get it completely so I don’t have to do this again. Basically, my tumors were located in just the right spot that they felt radiation would not harm my vital organs longterm and they could greatly reduce the damaging affects of those last 4 chemo treatments by not doing them. I’m very happy.

    Great to hear! Any tips on grabbing tickets? I'm going to be in town tomorrow night and was thinking about going. I would wait and get last minute on StubHub. They dropped quite a bit last night right before the game. I think you could get great seats last minute for cheap. Wish I had waited. We got good seats about 15 rows from Royals on deck circle for $100 each for tomorrow night. I’m betting you could do quite a bit better than that by waiting.

    At the start of the season I was pretty bummed about the timing of this Cubs series as I was supposed to be recovering from my 10th chemo treatment this week. However, long story short, my chemo was reduced to 8 treatments with some radiation tacked onto the end. So, I feel great this week and am enjoying tonight’s game and tomorrow’s game in person. Go Cubs!

    If you are tied with the Royals in the middle innings, you are pretty much losing. Touche Except that also means their bullpen is about to get involved in the game.

    It is unreal how much Darvish looks like a kid that pitched on my high school team. Wearing ridiculous clothes with that facial expression almost gives me goosebumps. Exactly something I would expect from this guy. They’re so similar despite this kid not being Asian.

    Champagne Lodge commercials are even more annoying than the most annoying Cubs games. Especially since they’re no longer relevant.

    I’m always amazed when experienced, professional journalist make definitive statements or overreact to a good/great stretch of baseball from a team that wasn’t expected to perform at those levels. Especially when peripherals indicate their record is better than it should be. I believe it was Kurkjian that said “the Mariners are absolutely going to the playoffs” a few weeks back. Then the ESPN Sunday Night crew said no NL team stood a chance to beat Boston, New York, Houston or Seattle in a World Series. Mariners only 1.5 games up on Oakland.

    Yeah. Would have liked to have seen Farrell get through 6 even if it meant 10-0 and 115 pitches.

This also seems like something that could be taken multiple ways: “Well, I guess an easier way to say it is if you look at our model, with our fan support, trying to be irrelevant for a couple years just doesn’t seem smart. It’s not even something we’ve been internally debating.”
